A great device for DIY and robotics projects.
The Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3 is a powerful and versatile development board that is ideal for creating complex projects that require a large number of inputs and outputs, ranging from simple alarms to complex automated systems. It has 54 digital inputs/outputs, 16 analog inputs. You can find a lot of training materials and examples of projects on the Internet, which makes it easier to study and create your own devices. One of the main features of the Arduino Mega 2560 is its large memory capacity - 256 KB. This allows you to create more complicated projects that require a lot of code.Another advantage of the Arduino Mega 2560 is its versatility. The device supports many different sensors, modules and expansion boards, which allows you to adapt it to a variety of tasks. For example, I used it to create a smart home system, as well as to control various mechanisms in my robot.Despite the fact that it costs a little more than other Arduino models, its capabilities and functionality justify the cost. However, the Arduino Mega 2560 has drawbacks, it is quite large and heavy, which can be inconvenient for some projects.Overall, the Arduino Mega 2560 is an excellent choice for those who work on projects with a large number of sensors and actuators.

Excellent product
Good product if you're starting out on Arduino. I've had it for quite a while and did some interesting projects with it. I needed the extra I/O ports it gives.Just a note to other buyers though: This is a genuine Arduino board, but remember that Arduino is open source hardware, and the base components are cheap (even though this is expensive). There are Hong Kong retailers that assemble the same thing for a much cheaper price. I've had one that's 1/4th of the price and works just as well. You could even assemble it yourself if you'd like. This is a good product. If you don't want to try your luck, like I did, get this one, but keep in mind you can get better deals.

MEGA 2560 R3 Arduino or Clone?
I was looking for an Arduino MEGA R3 or clone when I came across this product claiming to be a genuine Arduino at clone prices. So I ordered, the reviews were good and I didn't mind a clone, and if it was a genuine Arduino from Italy...Arrived today in a plain brown box with my address and telephone number! on the front. The circuit board inside looked like an Arduino MEGA 2560 R3 and was sealed in an anti-static bag; but no genuine Arduino box as shown in one of the pictures.I have taken a picture of the front and back and uploaded them so you can judge the quality and if you think it is genuine. In terms of build there are a few slightly wonky components but generally looks well made.I have a (Maplin-bought and so presumably genuine) Arduino UNO R3 and an Arduino Yun (which I do not believe has been cloned yet - 1/2014) for comparison. My conclusion is that this product seems to use a different font that those I believe to be genuine - but I am no expert on Arduino fonts. What about function. Powered it up and the LED attached to pin 13 started to blink - but at a faster rate than I have observed on my other Arduino boards. It accepted a modified version of the Blink sketch without issue. The main reason for buying this is that I am running a clone Ethernet shield (which I am very happy with) on the UNO and I just needed more memory. Swapped the shield over from the UNO to the MEGA 2560 and everything works as expected.I haven't and wont test every pin, but this microprocessor can expect to be live for a good few months as a web server so I'll report back later one way or the other.Just for clarity I am not associated with this company, Arduino or any one else who sells microprocessor boards - it's just a hobby.Update: It has been live as a webserver from about two weeks after it arrived with little issue. Quite happy.

Arduino Mega 2560
I was unsure when i ordered this item that it was likely a scam or a B grade product or even a clone but no, i ordered it on the 18th of dec and as sure as claimed by amazon it turned up on the 21st, I opened the package and i was delighted to see it was sealed not taped in an antistatic bag, also in the package was a usb lead.Excitedly i opened it and inspected it, it IS the original Arduino Mega 2560 r3 so still not being sure i put it through every pin on the device and it works 100%, i am so happy with this device and i highly recommend this company, an absolutely gold find .. thank you.

Mega!
Ah, an old friend. I love these boards. They are great to use. They can be a little expensive at first sight but they come with lots of IO & fair amount of muscle. I've just done about 4 projects using these. Simple to use. Free development environment downloadable from the Arduino website. The language is C & the function set seems pretty good for such a small board.

Perfect for quick builds
Only recently getting on the Arduino bandwagon, getting the mega was an upgrade from my Uno.Needed for extra inputs and interrupts.Arduinos are easy to get up and running quickly and are perfect for tinkering. The Mega is perfect for everything.Useful sites to keep an eye on for help.Arduino, Adafruit, Sparkfun

A very useful Arduino
An Arduino that I use for railway modelling purposes. For these the Mega is great because of the larger number of I/O pins and also timers, than the Uno. It is a little expensive though.
