Unbroken Magic: Bargains with Beasts, Book 2

A great story that ties up some threads.
My only complaint about this book, is I want more. I found Evie and Nathaniel’s story to be very interesting and I wanted to see it develop over a longer period of time. Having said that, the book is great. It has a nice fast pace that picks up right where book one left off. It is non stop action and you don’t have time to catch your breath, in a good way. One thing I like about Stark’s writing is that the stories lend themselves so well to re-reading. There are so many subtle clues and parts of the stories I discover more I didn’t notice with each read. I have been waiting to learn more about Finvara, and this book also sets up that next story very nicely. We get to learn more about the girl’s mother and what was going on with those people, and finally we start to get more answers about the mages. It is hard to say more without giving away spoilers, so I will leave it at that. You can tell Stark loves this world and these characters, and she handles them with care. I recommend this series to everyone, it is so fun to read, and this is another great addition to this world. I read a lot of books on kindle unlimited, then go back and buy them if I like them. I own all of these , along with the audio books. They are that good, this one included. Buy it!

Good
Note: This book brings Evie’s part of the story to a conclusion, the rest of the story will be Kyla’s. That being said, it is imperative that you read the Deals with Demons series FIRST, then the first book in this series, before you read this one. Most of the events in this series, are caused by those in the preceding books. When Kyla heads to the Seelie realm to steal the sword on her own, Evie rushes after her, with Evie’s mate Nathaniel on her tail. It’s not just a magical sword they have to deal with though, there’s also the Organisation that has been kidnapping paranormals and experimenting on them- an Organisation that Evie has vowed to stop…And with her mate, and her friends beside her, it’s the one thing she is determined to accomplish. This book has some very satisfying moments in it; and some people get the fate they have long deserved (I really hope certain others get theirs in the next book!).That means the book, while being a quick read, is filled with action, and adventure. We do get to see some cameos from the Demons series, as well as many of your favourite side characters (Virtus once again stole the star of the book award).A thoroughly entertaining read, this and it’s predecessor series, are great reads for the urban fantasy fan.

BA FMC in a sun dress! I’m here for it!
What a great book! I love that Evie struggled with her issues and mating didn’t just make everything okay. I also really love and appreciate the fact that as a BA FMC she doesn’t have to wear black leather. She can be sunshine and girly and wear cute dresses and still destroy anyone who pisses her off. It makes her more relatable. I can’t wait to read the next book. There were things that happily surprised me and Stacia just keeps the twists coming!

Didn’t disappoint
I hadn’t planned on picking up the last book yet but it looks like I’ll have to. Kyla is definitely my favorite character. I love her personality. I also really enjoyed Evie’s snark. Even though it wasn’t a very climactic scene, my favorite was Evie finding her family. I was sad about Gemma but only because of what she meant to Evie. The pacing was good and I can’t wait to see how the trilogy ends.

Interesting overarching plot line but the romance felt a little flat for me.
3.5⭐️This book picks up right where the previous book left off. The action doesn’t let up and I enjoyed all the reveals and discoveries along the way. This book continues with Evie and Nathaniel’s journey. There are so many plot plates spinning and different storylines unfolding. I didn’t expect to have a big part of their relationship woes solved so early on in the book. While their relationship grew and changed throughout, it wasn’t the driving force of the story and it somehow made the story feel a little anticlimactic to me. I liked Nathaniel (hot, slightly morally grey, werewolf alpha) but Evie, while she grew on me, just wasn’t my favorite. The story was definitely carried by the overall fantasy plot, solving a mystery and fighting evil and I am interested in how everything wraps up! This book does conclude Nathaniel and Evie’s portion of the story while the last book in the trilogy continues the overall plot line but with the werewolf, Kyla and Finverra, the Unseelie King.

Another great read!
This story picks up right where the last left off with Evie going after Kyla. Definitely tons of steam in this book. I absolutely love Nathaniel but I'm still team Samael. I did think Evie should have held out a bit longer, but even though her mind did not want to accept her body did. Overall great story, we closed a few plot hole from the last book and whole series. I am really excited for Kyla's story and the sword. The author seems to have brought us full circle with this book and I'm excited for the next one.

I enjoyed this
Another great story just like all the rest. I really enjoyed these two books with Nathaniel and Evie. You can see that Evie has trouble, excepting that people will actually stay in her life and she won’t be abandoned. And every time Nathaniel reassure her that he’s not going anywhere and that he’s here to stay because he loves her and his love runs so deep he couldn’t survive without her. I love how they formed a partnership and how you can see Evie slowly open herself up more to the bond and to Nathaniel. I like how they talk what’s going on in their heads and doesn’t it just build up. They formed a love built, trust, communication and partnership. I enjoyed this book and was glad to read their story.

bargains with beasts
i enjoyed this book, the story grew more and we got to learn more about the characters. Evie is also descovering a lot more about herself and facing her own insecurities. i appreciate the way Nate treats her, the Alpha doting on her and being vulnerable is a very nice combination for sure .if i could wish for one thing in life it would be that Tobias came to live in my house, a personal chef and sweet heart like him Yes Please!easy to read and fast toovery well balanced (🌶️ and action ratio spot on)Happy Reading!

Loved it
I had moments in this book where I was unsure which surprised me as so far I've found all stacia stark books to be brilliant. The book covers a lot of interconnected story lines and answers questions from previous books. However all in all I really enjoyed this book. Is it my favourite from stacia stark probably not but it certainly won't stop me giving it 5 stars and I can't wait for the next book. I did like the Nathaniel/evie story, I still love how the story is woven and so much happens. Love seeing characters from earlier in the series, definitely want to see how whole story line wraps up in the final book. Seriously hoping next book isn't quite the final book a certain witch is missing and I'm sure there's a seelie who cares!!

Just the right amount of world building. Suspense drama and slow burn love to make a good easy read.Perfect series and really happy that it’s complete as her latest one isn’t and I’m craving.

Amazing follow up.
Stacia Stark has a way of keeping you in the story no matter what is going on. This is the 2nd book in the Bargains with Beasts trilogy and it kept you in your toes. The story flowed, but there were still the little bits of humanity that showed throughout. You got a peak in different lives, and saw characters from the previous stories.I really enjoyed this, and can’t wait for the third.

Brilliant
Stacia Stark writes a good, entertaining and engaging story. Evie is mate to Nathaniel, the Wolf alpha, the romance is interesting and it’s very easy to see the drama that came with that romance. Great read and great ending to a great story of Evie who came into her power to conquer and help bring a nation of magical beings together
