AQUAGE 60-Second Restorative Mask I have overprocessed hair since it has been bleached several times and this makes my hair super soft and easy to style. It helped to smooth my ends and stopped any flyaways and frizz. I like to use a flat iron on my hair and this adds some protection as well. It has a nice light floral scent and I love how quick and easy this is to use when I need a bit extra moisture. This mask is quick and easy to use: Apply to wet hair after shampoo and conditioner, apply from midshaft to ends. Leave on for JUST 60 seconds. Rinse out. • Style, brand and version: -Brand: AQUAGE -Style: 60-Second Restorative Mask •Impressions: -It's a good, medium weight hair mask that's not oily, greasy or overly heavy nor overly light. If you can tolerate the scent. -You only need to leave it on the hair 60 seconds in the shower vs taking longer. It's an in-shower style mask in place of a conditioner or longer mask. (Though you can use it longer.) -It does leave the hair very soft, nicely conditioned and detangled. But not weighed down, greasy or oily after use. -It should work well for normal to dry hair. It may be a bit light for those with very dry or curly hair. But for a lighter, mid weight hair mask it works well. -However, I did not like the scent to it at all. It was hard to enjoy it due to the scent. In the tube it has a very strong fruit like scent. I disliked that, but the scent when applied, I disliked even more. It's still fruit like scented on application, but new scent notes show up. It starts smelling like men's musky cologne (like the sweaty, musky smell) and herbal (like cooking spices) and peppery (like cooking pepper). It's a mix of fruit, herbs, musk, men's cologne and pepper. It's fairly strong during use, blow drying your hair but doesn't linger on the hair. And it's protected well in the tube. -Ingredients were printed on the tube. -Is a medium weight mask. It's not oily, greasy but a medium weight that's not light nor quite heavy. It will work well for normal to dry hair. Those with curly, very dry hair may need something heavier. -Spreads well over the hair and soaks in well. -A little goes a long way, use less than you think you need, it spreads over the hair well and doesn't waste product. You don't have to over-use or use a lot for a good result. -Leaves the hair soft, well conditioned and detangled but not weighed down, oily or greasy. -You only have to use it for 60 seconds as an in shower mask vs longer (but can use it longer). -It’s well made and high quality in the formulation and ingredients. • Cons: -Has an unpleasant scent that's a strong mix of fruits, herbs, musk, men's cologne and cooking pepper. I did not enjoy it due to the unpleasant, very odd scent. • Tips & Thoughts: -You can leave it on longer than the 60 seconds, in the shower. It's meant to be a quick shower mask, vs a standard conditioner, but can be used longer. -Personally, for the price, and unpleasant scent, I'd rather use Olaplex's mask or other brands that have a better scent to them. I strongly disliked the unpleasant scent, it was not something I can imagine many people enjoying. If the scent wasn't so unpleasant, I would have liked it very much. -If you've used or smelled Fanola's Fiber Fix (especially the shampoo in the Fiber Fix line, it's so peppery I can't stand to use it), this has a similar peppery scent. -Note that it does have wheat it it, if you're sensitive to or trying to avoid wheat products. -Note that it does have silicone in it, if you’re avoiding silicone based products.

This 60 second mask left my hair really soft and manageable! It had a faint, nice scent and a rich thick texture. I applied all over my ends, and avoided my roots. I left it in for a smidge longer than 60 seconds but not by much. It rinsed pretty cleanly, and I was so surprised at how soft and sleek my hair felt! I was really impressed. I'm a big fan of this mask and I love even more than I don't have to let it sit in my hair for like half an hour.
