Corelle Square 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Kobe, Service for 4

I saw from another reviewer that their Corelle set said it was made in China and mine did not. It said made in USA on my dinnerware. That must have been an anomaly. I ordered this set on February 24th and received it the next day even though I selected normal shipping. I was extremely surprised and pleased with such a quick turn around. The dinnerware was packaged quite well and none of the pieces were broken. They feel very sturdy even though they are lightweight. I love the pattern, minimal and clean, but quite beautiful. I was surprised at the generous size of the dinner plates and the shape of the bowls are perfect, especially for cereal. You have to have good cereal bowls. :) My last dinnerware set was heavy stoneware so this is nice change to have lightweight dishes. I still have a few Correlle dinner plates of my mother's from over 30 years ago and I can tell that these will be with me for many years as well. I also ordered a buttercup set from Corelle and they are just as beautiful. I wanted to mix two sets that had the same color scheme and they mesh well together. I would highly recommend these.

I'm very pleased with this set. It was packaged very well and arrived in excellent condition. The design is light, almost like watercolor, and it's quite pretty. As the other reviewers have stated, I also wish that the mugs were made in America and not porcelain, but they feel sturdy enough and the design is still pleasant. I can vouch for the sturdiness of this product. As my husband and I were loading them into the dishwasher before their first use, he dropped one of the dinner plates from almost two feet in the air onto a linoleum floor. We both held our breath as he picked it up to inspect it, and there was absolutely no damage. Not a chip or crack anywhere on it. You really can't ask for more than that. We are both very pleased with our purchase and are looking forward to enjoying our new dishes for years to come.

These plates are great. I gave them to my mother as a Christmas present last year. I wanted to get her something that looked nice but was simple. These fit the bill. They look exactly like the photo. They're Corelle so they're pretty resistant to breaking, but they are not indestructible of course. She's had dishes in the past by Corelle and tends to only buy this brand. Well worth the buy.

I have always loved corelle, because it is break resistant, light to handle, microwave safe,-stain resistant, the design is just as it shows in the illustration it took a little while,( very short while )to get used to square dishes now I couldn't imagine using any other kind. I loved the fact that they are so very light. .the design is exactly what I had hoped it would be . my kitchen is pale yellow and white.it goes very nicely with my decore. they also come in in service for 16.and added accessories in case I want to add to them later .yes I'm very satisfied with my new dishes I would definitely recommend them.

First of all, I thought I'd get a "set" of Corelle packaged properly. Secondly, I thought Corelle didn't chip or break. Oh yes, it does! One of my bowls has a big chip out of it & one of the dinner plates is damaged (or perhaps just how a "Second" is) The dishes for the most part are nice, but I'm very disappointed after one of your customer service people explained to me how your returns work. Especially in this case. I'm quite sure you have all these dishes stacked in the warehouse (they were dusty too) and pick the orders as needed. So it's not really the deal you think it is. I hope you'll help me work this out. I'm giving it 2 stars until Amazon comes through for me.

I bought these because they were made in the USA. I like the look of this set but I didn't care for the feel. I understand they are a different type of material than what is traditionally used to make dinnerware but they just felt too light. They very well may be extremely durable, I don't know. But I returned mine in favor of some heavier, more solid-feeling dinnerware that was not made in the USA =(

Pros *Plates are light weight *Entire set is durable - Despite many washes, all pieces look new and no chipping. *Have not stained, despite tons of use. *All pieces made in the USA - NOT the mugs, however *Floral pattern has not dulled *Bought them for ~$55 from Amazon.com - As I write this review, they are even cheaper. - Great value for the money. *Mugs are a good size and are also high quality Cons *Floral pattern could have been a little more saturated with color *Mugs made in China *Bowls could be a little larger Overall, this set is an incredible value. It is an added benefit of feeling proud for buying "made in the USA."

Lightweight,translucent with a good solid white background and plates without a bottom raised rim that collects dirt. A real competitor to bone china!

It's nice, lightweight, and simple. I would strongly recommend if you look for good everyday dishes. It's dishwasher friendly and stacks nicely in the cupboard.
