How to Be A Perfect Stranger (6th Edition): The Essential Religious Etiquette Handbook

I just purchased this book yesterday and could not put it down. Although I'm no theologian or expert on the world's religions, I have read dozens of books on various theologies and religious practices. I could not put this book down until I finished it! The concise portrayal of each of the religions presented in this book along with the "rules of etiquette" and what a visitor to a church of a different denomination or creed should expect are extremely helpful. This book is well worth the money, especially if you are concerned that attending a service in a church of another faith would be daunting. This certainly will help to alleviate any apprehensions.

This is a great help for anyone wishing to explore other religions. Knowing how to behave when attending a church or temple makes it easier to investigate and learn other paths. Good first experience.

I haven't read through all of the book but it appears to be an excellent primer on 29 religious groups in addition to tips on etiquetee and what to expect upon visiting services of any of the religions.

The authors encourage input, which is good because the few chapters I've read have had quite a few inaccuracies. I think it definitely can provide a level of comfort when attending a house of worship with which one is unfamiliar.

Absolutely fascinating book. I am a hospital Chaplain and serve multiple faiths and denominations. This book really opened my eyes.
