Since this goes directly under your sheets, that matters a lot. A mattress protector should stay smooth and basically disappear under the sheets, not create lumps and uneven spots you keep noticing. The biggest issue came when I realized the mattress protector I received did not appear to be new, even though I purchased it as new. I returned it immediately. For a hygiene item like a mattress protector, that is completely unacceptable. Overall, I’m really disappointed.
