Should have purchased this years ago. It would have saved me a lot of money all the times I have replaced batteries when I didn't need to and it helps with trouble shooting issues by letting you know if your battery is good, not good or just need a little charge. Really glad I one.

This is a good and inexpensive way to estimate battery age / deterioration. Estimates are just such and one should not take them for granted. This one is helpful estimating the life in all the UPS batteries i use. and i tried it in my cars and it is OK for what I paid for.

This is a straightforward tester that gets the job done. However, the instructions are far too brief and leave out crucial details needed to use it correctly. During setup, the device prompts you to select a battery type—such as Regular Flooded, AGM Flat Plate, AGM Spiral, GEL, or EFB—without explaining what those terms mean or how to identify your battery type. Since choosing the wrong option causes inaccurate results, this is a major omission. In my case, the battery’s side label was blocked by the mounting bracket, so I had to take a photo of it and run a Google Reverse Image Search to find the exact specs. Additionally, the manual fails to explain how to enter the battery rating and standard, showing only a single default option without any context. For quick reference: • CCA: Cold Cranking Amps (most common standard for US vehicles) • CA: Cranking Amps • MCA: Marine Cranking Amps (for boats) • BCI, JIS, IEC, EN, DIN, SAE, GB: Various international rating standards I suspect selecting the wrong battery type is why another reviewer received invalid results (where a good battery was flagged as bad). A minor quirk to watch for: I ran into a "Connection Error" a few times after entering my data. Nothing looked visibly wrong with the connection, but disconnecting and reconnecting the clamps fixed it, allowing the test to run smoothly. On the upside, the device conveniently remembers the values you entered from your previous test, even after losing power. Overall, it’s a solid tool once you know how to navigate it.
