5 ☆ translation - 0 ☆ index
1☆ There are only 7 links in the Kindle table of contents, for 648 pages of text from page 24 (Chapter 1 starts) to page 648 (Footnotes start). There are no links for 150 chapters: Chapter 1-1(1) through Chapter 150-3.3(55). So, no chapter links in the table of contents and no chapter names in the index. As can be seen from the chapter numbering, each has many subsections as welll. 1☆ This magnificent translation deserves better. 1☆ For $30 per copy, the publisher (my opinion) should take a few hours to provide links for each of the chapters instead of wasting Hours of my time as a student researcher. 1☆ I found an online PDF copy of the Penguin edition, which has a good navigation table. Still a time waster. I started to annotate the chapter headings in Kindle. Still a waste of time, even after it's done. Slow compared to links in a Kindle table of contents. 1☆ (or an ironic 5☆) for the opportunity to practice patience with a substandard publication.

Poor translation
Please don't buy this book. Translation is very improper and requires double lookup on sanskrit words every line. It is so happens you are reading two books at all the time while reading this book. If the the intent is to understand sanskrit words, then he atleast should provide sanskrit dictionary in last few pages. Otherwise, it would be really unreasonable to remember 1000s of sanskrit words dropped sporadically in between english texts. I find it how it got so many good reviews with this semi translated book.
