A good substitute for a fixed landmine attachment
In general, I like this product. I missed having a stationary landmine at the gym I frequent because some of my favorite exercises required a landmine. I know some people wedged the bar into the corner of the gym walls, but since that damages the walls, I couldn't bring myself to do that. And then...behold! Amazon offered me a solution. For the price, I decided this portable landmine attachment would be worth a try. So I tried it.It works well. The attachment fit onto the end of the barbell easily enough. When used on its own, the attachment will "walk" a little, but I fixed that by placing the attachment against the foundation support of the squat rack. The rubber doesn't leave marks on the metal, and the bar is now secure so that it can move in the directions I want. I was able to perform all my old exercises and great was my joy.My joy was a little less-than-great when it came time to remove the attachment. Here's where I removed a star for functionality. If you are at a home gym, this may not be an issue since you could have a dedicated landmine bar. But if you're at a gym, here was my problem: I couldn't remove the attachment. It fitted itself onto the end of the bar with a tight suction, and I could not remove the blasted thing. It then became some sort of gym-bro Excalibur as everybody in the gym tried with great exertion and cunning to extricate the barbell. But lo! As though prophesied by Merlin, one rose above the others and fulfilled his destiny, separating attachment from barbell and claiming rule over his creatine-infused domain. On a positive note, I made some gym friends that day, and I'll consider that a win for me. But I probably won't use the attachment again unless my gym friends are around to help me out.So, the takeaway: This attachment works well to mimic a stationary landmine and allow you to use many of the same exercises. However, the attachment holds firmly and removing it can be a struggle. But perhaps you, fair gym-goer, shall accept your destiny and pull forth the barbell from the attachment and begin the reign of which the seers of antiquity have foretold.

Doesnt stay put
I was skeptical about these things...and my skepticism was right. On a rubber gym floor, they just don't stay put. It slides...and thus is an obvious safety issue. Not a crazy amount of weight either...it slides no matter how you slice it. Don't need a toen rotator cuff so.im.sricking with the style that slides in a plate!

Tough to remove from barbell.
It works as expected and am satisfied about that. Slipping it on to the barbell is easy. Removing it is very difficult. I have to spend at least 10 minutes of twisting and pulling. Most likely a vacuum gets created. Any advise on how to get it off easily will be appreciated.

Safety Hazard…
Unfortunately I can’t return this thing! I tried it today, 2 days after return window closed! The ball end does not stay in place! It slid back and back until my barbell slipped out of my hands. Stuck w a piece of junk now!! It’s a safety hazard, so I can’t even donate it!!
