Propper Men's Long Sleeve Tactical Shirt

Great price, great fit, great look! Extremely comfortable, and no compromise from the other big two competitors.
Since I was familiar with the brand, I grabbed three of these, in three different colors. I purchase a Black, a Charcoal Grey, and an Olive. All were perfect! While I cannot claim to be very adventurous with my three choices, now that I have confirmed the comfort, and fit, I will try some of the more interesting choices. When I ordered, there were eleven different colors to choose from. I normally would have tried just one, before coming back for multiples, but I took the chance. If you like the two main competitors to this type of shirt, you will not be disappointed. I have a lot of the Blackhawks, and the 5.1's, but these are of the same high quality, have a great variety of colors, and are extremely comfortable too. If you are not familiar with this style of shirt, these are perfect with a pair of jeans, or a pair of Dockers, or other casual slacks. You would have no problem wearing these in any casual setting, but then if you needed a perfect shirt to go camping, or hunting, these would be perfect t as well. I am not really going to get into the "tactical" part, because if you needed a tactical shirt, you would certainly know what it means. So I am really describing this for the uninitiated. You will find a very practical shirt, with a lot of very convenient extras, like lots of large useable pockets that you will not have to worry about securely closing. I will be buying more of these, in other colors. If you try one, you will certainly buy more!

Can I please give it 10 stars!!!
Holy cow... I've always been a Columbia PFG or Exofficio fishing shirt guy, but not any more.... oh man, I ordered 4 of these Propers... and now I wish I had ordered 6.... I chose the charcoal, green, tan and coyote. I literally unpackaged them, and put the coyote color on and was so impressed I wrote the review... so the shirt in the photo is wrinkled a bit as it's right out of the package... When it arrived, I could feel the heavy fabric through the package, and I knew I had scored! I'm not kidding... dude, these are like nothing else I've ever tried on. The zipper is a home run in my book... and the extra hidden pockets. Wow... someone really thought this shirt through. No details were overlooked. This shirt was designed by someone who paid attention to what a good quality shirt should feel like, look like, and how it should fit. I like that the fabric is thicker than most, and it will hold up against snags from sage brush and trees while hiking. Let me say too that I am 5'-10" and I weigh 163-165 pounds, I wear Wrangler jeans in size 32 waist and 32 length... my chest is 43" and the sleeve length measured on the shirt is 25" from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. I ordered the LARGE REGULAR and it fits like it was tailored. Not too big, not too small... Perfect. This will be awesome for the Colorado winters at 7,500 feet as I can still manage to wear a long sleeve mid-weight undershirt or polypropylene undershirt and still be comfortable, without feeling bound-up in the shoulders. The neck is a bit larger than I normally get, but considering the COVID neck wrap we must now wear, I welcome the extra room. This shirt rocks... I am doing back flips as I was afraid that... well, you know it's always a crap shoot when ordering on line. Lets face it, when reviews say something like: "my hubby is 6' tall and it fits great"... those limited data reviews are worthless in my book. I need to know height, weight, waist, chest... etc. to know if it really will fit right. I'm amazed as how perfect this shirt is... well made beyond my expectations. These fit like they were tailored for me. The feel of the material is a heavy ripstop sorta cotton blend... it's substantial, but like a canvass shirt, way more comfortable... definitely not like the whispy puffy-style Columbia's... put one of those PFG's up against this shirt, and just the feel and weight of the material will have you hooked. I don't think 4 of these are enough!... I think I'm ordering two more tonight before they are sold out .... quit looking at those other shirts, and buy these. You will not be disappointed.

So perfect we bought 3!!!
I bought the Propper Tactical Shirt in black for my husband for Christmas in December of 2016. He LOVED it! So much so that this year he mentioned wanting some other colors. So, I bought one in Grey and one in Coyote (British Tan). The black shirt looks as perfect today as the day he opened it. These shirts are SO well made and tough! We have had no holes, no loose buttons, no problems at all...not even a string. I wash it in cold water, on my second to lowest wash cycle (thats my "Low/Delicate" cycle - the next cycle below that is my "Handwash/Wool" Cycle - I have Whirlpool). I dry it on my lowest heat settings and right along with the load I washed it with They are exactly as pictured. For reference, my husband is 6'2" and he is about 230 lbs. We bought him an XL Long and the fit is perfect. My husband is former military. Even though he has been out of the service for a while, he still prefers that style of dress. (He is nuts about pocket room). He is a writer so he keeps a lot of things on his person at all times - a small pad for jotting down a quick thought, tons of pens, and even a digital recorder & accessories that allows him to record a phone call on his cell. His pockets are always full! The pockets on these shirts are well done. Plenty of room and plenty of them. The shirts actually zip up under the buttons. They are real buttons but with no button holes. He likes that feature a lot. He says it keeps the warmth in better and the buttons don't bulge open when he sits, and they do not open with the button. This just makes a nice clean line on the shirt. The material is sturdy and thick. It's also VERY stiff. The tag says no fabric softener or dryer sheets. I dont use fabric softener on anything, but I DO use dryer sheets with these and it does no harm whatsoever. It takes a good handful of cycles of wash and wear before the material begins to "soften up". It's not at all worth taking off a star. These shirts are that good! When my husband finds an article of clothing that's well made, well priced, and holds up to wear well, he sticks with it. I am writing this review after his black shirt has been worn and washed for 2 years. I can tell you for sure that these shirts last. For him to want one in multiple colors speaks to their quality and functionality. If you are debating, just stop. Buy this shirt! You will not regret it!!!

HEAVY DUTY
PRO - Build quality here is great. Very strong fabric, very well constructed. Good detailing, great pockets.Generously cut for a traditional fit.CON - Fabric is strong because it is heavy, but it’s not especially breathable. I consider this a “Three Season” shirt because most men will want something lighter for summer heat/humidity.
