Compact, Feature-Rich, and Enhanced Privacy
I recently added the Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) to my home security setup, and it has exceeded my expectations. Its compact design allows for discreet placement, and the new manual privacy cover offers peace of mind by easily disabling audio and video when needed. The 1080p video quality is sharp, providing clear footage during both day and night, thanks to the color night vision feature. Integration with the Ring app is seamless, offering customizable motion zones and real-time alerts. Plus, compatibility with Amazon Alexa adds convenient voice control to the mix.Setup was straightforward, and the adjustable stand with the ball-and-socket joint made positioning effortless. While a Ring Protect subscription is required for video recording, the added features and cloud storage make it a worthwhile investment.Overall, the Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) delivers excellent performance, user-friendly features, and enhanced privacy controls—all at an affordable price point. Highly recommended for anyone looking to bolster their home security.

Great little in home camera
Bought in the sales just to monitor the front room whilst out and about as I have 2 crazy dogs. Does exactly as it should. Works well, sound and picture is great quality. App works well alongside it, no lag so far, motion detection is fast. Camera can span and move.

Impressed with this so far.
Really decent camera for the money. I have it inside my storage unit just in case. Hopefully I'll never need to rely on it but at the low cost it's ace. Simple to install and connect to my phone and other cameras in that network. Excellent quality and field of view too.

Detected and filmed our rodent lodger within hours of delivery!
I do want to write more at a later date and hope to add some footage, but just wanted to immediately confirm that this little camera is easy to set up, quickly connects to wi-fi and pairs seamlessly with the very useful mobile app, which I have installed both on my iPhone and Kindle. We have a rodent in our walls and loft and, after realizing it had found its way into the kitchen drawer where we store new packs of sugar and hot chocolate, we set humane traps in there. These haven't worked yet, so I decided to try to see exactly what we were dealing with and where it was coming in.The camera was set up in the drawer and early this morning and into daylight, the little furry popped its head over the side of the drawer, at intervals, and sniffed at a few sticks from a stale Graze box I found at the back of the drawer and fully opened to attract it. After the initial few sniffs over the side, it gained enough courage to steal them all one by one!I'm very pleased to have found exactly how big it is and where it pops its head over. Now I can position the traps in better places and hopefully lure it into one of them.Obviously, the drawer is totally dark and, at night, there is no visibility whatsoever, which suits little intruders. However, my one gripe is that the camera emits a tiny blue light, so the rodent was constantly aware that there was a light shining and looked straight into the lens as if it was worried about it. After a few sniffs over the side of the drawer, it did lean over and feel more confident that it was safe, so it didn't completely scare it off.The camera has a very good wide view of the drawer. I have positioned it in one corner and it can monitor the whole area and notify me of any movement at all in the drawer. You can select which areas of the area you want to be detected. I chose to pull the little shape to all corners. You can have up to three separate areas and each detection shape has several points, so you can define your selections pretty accurately. The general gripe about this type of camera is that you have to pay a subscrition to view saved motion capture. I have no idea what functions will still be available when my trial runs out. However, for my immediate purposes, this camera and the trial will definitely help me to organize my traps for a whole 30 days.BIG PLUS:I was very pleasantly surprised that, after signing up with my email address and getting the app up and running, my free trial was already active, with no mention of bank details or credit card numbers.I'm guessing, I will be prompted at the end of the trial to either start paying for Ring's services or lose them, but not pestering buyers for financial details before they've even decided if they want to pay a sub is something the company has got right.Another thing...my phone and Kindle disconnect from the live feed quite a lot, but one tap of a button to reconnect, puts you back online with the camera. I have found using the Ring.com site itself on my PC works better, as my PC is connected through a cable, so probably a lot more stable.I can definitely recommend this little camera for even the smallest jobs. It easily fits in my kitchen drawer and streams/records pretty decent quality footage when placed in complete darkness.

Good camera
This is my first time using a Ring indoor camera or any type of CCTV. I have set it up to look through my front window so it can view people walking through my gate.It seems to be working well as the motion sensor also alerts me to movement. I can view live and past footage as I used the free trial. I have now signed up for the subscription and will see how it performs long term. As I only bought the camera a month and a half ago.I am not sure it picks up everything but it does most of the time. Connectivity seems pretty reliable and I have the camera plugged into my indoor socket so I have constant power running to the camera. Night vision is better when the street light in on which is great. It is not so good without lighting as without the street light the nightvision is quite dark. Perhaps I need some kind of sensor movement lighting too? I am still learning about this camera but I am happy with it on the whole. Finally, I feel safer and have more peace of mind which is great.I shall probably buy another two cameras when there is a sale hopefully. So, I am happy with the product but its early days.
