I wanted these pots to replace almost all of mine in current use. Potting soil and plants from the store often have gnats.These were easy to set up, easy to fill with dirt, and put in the plants. They look nice and I'm hopeful they work well.I have ONE issue with them and it's solely my own fault. I shouldn't have filled the water part up when I first planted them, it overwatered all my plants. So if you're going to use these, don't make the same mistake I did. Give them "some" water to help them settle in, then wait till they are dry to put the water in the container. (I didn't water from the top down either, just in the side where it goes directly to the bottom but they were SOAKED.These aren't the most sturdy. They are pretty lightweight even with soil/plant/water.

I love "self watering " pots. I have purchased several kinds, & most are multi color & 2 to 4 sizes. I love these because they are all large size, all one color of pots & the basket inserts are BLACK!It looks way more high end than the white. Re- potted my orchids (did you know to give your orchids a new larger pot each year?)

I bought these so that I could transplant my African Violets that I have had for 4 years and they have worked out great the let you water your plants from the bottom with the wicking system and come with aqua rocks that keep the water fresh great buy for a great price.

The pots are a good size to repot orchids.After recieving I removed from packageing and put on shelf. Next day used two complete pots everything ok, next day was going to use a pot and discovered damag to inter pots. Amazon sent replacement, a new six pack. but now they want original shipment returned in the original shipling package,that was long gone. I had a shiping lable and I returned to Kohles Dept.Store. I have yet to recieve my credit. I like the pot but I have now payed twice without a credit.Dick Bigham

The pots make it very easy to monitor the water which orchids do not like on their roots.I repotted all my orchids and they are thriving in their new pots.Aeration is key to having great orchids as I am learning.I like the water thread so I can quickly determine if I need to give more water.

I've moved my violets to these pots. Not only are they growing, but flowering continuously. Recently, transplanted Orchid to this pot and is doing well this far.

They should give you a little instruction book.. I had to watch a video for properly using the moisture wick.. (new to this self watering) and had not a clue what the balls were!Nuts? Wood? Shells? What are they for? I had to do alot of searching to find out! Clay balls to help with moisture.

One came broken and they mailed a replacement out. I really like the colors and my orchids are happier now too.
