Translucent Sharp-edge Excellence
Quality: 10/10Beauty: 10/10Price: 8/10Auspdice has made a high quality sharp edge translucent dice set with metallic flakes that is truly stunning to look at.The dice comes in a cardboard faux-snake skin box which is surprisingly high quality for a shipping box; normally I would take my set out and add them to a small pouch to bring to tabletop games but the box looks nice enough that I intend on keeping the dice stored as they are. For a freebie, this was an unexpected bonus. The Dark Galaxy ones I bought have a distinctly green metallic flakes inside the smoky gray body which absolutely looks like a micro cosmos in palm when I look at it. Holding it up to the light, you can see straight through it, but the flakes make awesome refractions as the light shines though. As for heft, these dice are quite light, which is expected of full resin dice. As a side effect of the incredible translucence, you end up with nothing but resin and metal flakes, which are light as it stands. This means the dice have less momentum as they roll, and will come to a stop sooner. Depending on what/where you play, this can be a benefit. Just keep in mind that light dice have a tendency to bounce a bit more. The dice set comes with the standard array; 1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 2d10, 1d12, & 1d20. But you should note that the d4 has the number on the spike, as opposed to some sets that have the number on the base, and the 2 d10s use the 0 to 9 and 00 to 90 numbers to represent percentages (or rolls out of 100).Also, hard edge dice roll significantly less than round edge dice, which is both a good and bad thing. Statistically, your dice is less likely to be truly random as how you roll the dice can determine how many 'rolls' it bounces through before settling. This is why you see casinos only use rounded d6. Personally, I like this because I play on small tables, don't use a dice tower, and prefer to throw the dice dramatically so it's nice to have the dice stay in the area as opposed to rolling off an edge.WARNING: These dice are REALLY sharp and will literally cut you if you step on them. I already had a spazz out when I rolled the d6 near the edge of the table and slapped the dice down to prevent it from rolling off. I've learned my lesson when I got stabbed. Also, the d4 is a damn caltrop, how cool is that?

Amazing, and Almost Perfect
I freakin' love these dice. But first, I'm going to mention the two things I found... weird.1) About half the die is actually a completely opaque, dark purple. Which none of the photos show.2) The part of the die with the "galaxy" on it is often centered under the number 1 rather than the highest number on the die. Now, personally, I would have made them so that the galaxy was viewable by the highest number, because that's generally the angle I want to look at my dice if they're on display and they only have one "great angle."Both of those are actually rather trivial, though. Everything else about these dice are great.1) They look SUPER SICK! Love the way these look. Even the purple bit looks nice. I assume they had to include the purple bit because of manufacturing difficulties. But, if they ever made a set where the entire die was see through and you could view the "galaxy" from any angle, that would be super tuffer.2) They're "sharp" dice, but more rounded than typical sharp dice, and I feel like they actually found the perfect balance between sharp and rounded.3) The numbers are SUPER easy to read. They're HUGE! And they're white, so the color contrast really helps with their legibility. I really hate dice that you can't see what the heck they rolled.4) They have a great feel to them.5) They roll exactly how I'd like them too. They don't fly off the table all the time.6) They're heavy, but not like metal dice, so I don't feel like they're going to scratch up my glass tables.7) They generate their numbers pretty randomly, which is theoretically what you should want in a die unless you're a dirty cheesecake-eating cheater. Despite what at least one other reviewer said, I've rolled each die 100 times now, recorded its results, and then determined the means, modes, and medians for each, and they're pretty random. Not quite "Game Science" dice random, but much better than most dice sets. So regardless of any weird perceptions about the purple vs. galaxy side of the dice generating a weight issue, they generate their numbers really well.8) The case they come in is phenom. Great design. Feels very high end.9) The dice themselves are a little bigger than average. I actually like this form factor.10) My very first roll on the d20 when I pulled it from the box was a nat twendo, so pardon me, but Imma go throw some fireballs now.TL;DR: Great set of dice. Perfect in almost every way. However, with this set the aesthetics are clearly the main appeal, and it is weird that the viewing angle on each die where you can see the cool little galaxy inside is often around the number 1 on the die. But meh. The dice are still awesome.

Lovely set of dice with a perfect mix of complexity and readability
Just to get it out of the way, there's only 1 thing I consider bad about these dice, and that's that they are just a LITTLE bigger than a normal set. Overall, this isn't a problem, but the dice tower I use constantly gets them stuck part way through because of the size difference. This is no where near enough for me to knock off a full star, but I do want to point that out, as the size is not clearly mentioned anywhere.Ok, that out of the way, these dice are Wonderful! I love the little planetary systems displayed inside with the "backdrop" of space. They're absolutely gorgeous and great to look at and play with. With the complexity of the inner stuff, I was worried their balance might be off, but that worry was completely unfounded. After doing dozens of test rolls and utilizing them in several game sessions, I haven't seen any bias in the rolls in any direction.Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend these dice for anyone who wants a beautiful set for a more than reasonable price. The effort they clearly put into these dice shows, and they're a great addition to a collection or as a first major dice upgrade over a standard set!

Very eye grabbing and fun to roll
I collect dice as a hobby and grabbed these as soon as I saw them. The listing photos are always going to look better than how you view them at home because they always photograph in the most ideal lighting scenarios, however, these look great no matter what lighting you are in. They are fairly easy to read, though there is so much reflective material in them that too much light can cause glare. At a normal indoor D&D session, you will not have an issue.I usually prefer rounded edge dice because they roll better in a dice tray, but I had to grab these for their uniqueness. They are of course, still perfectly usable for gameplay though.

BEAUTIFUL DICE SET!
Bought this dice set for my partner and he loves them. They look even better in person! The D4 dice is sharp as other reviews have said, but can't see any issues really

I rolled a 18/20
They're a bit lighter that I expected but still very nice looking dice. They have a nice solid edge to them.
