This is a nice document bag. Period. Doesn't matter whether it is truly fireproof or water resistant. It's a nice bag regardless. It's large enough to comfortably hold letter-size documents and thick enough to easily hold 2-3 inches worth. In fact, letter-size manilla file folders will fit in this bag. It is well made, with a quality feel to every component. Even the built-in lock is good - much nicer than the average suitcase lock. Of course, the lock is more an "honest eyes" preventative than a true deterrent, but it is a decent quality feature.Is this document bag truly fireproof and water resistant? I can't say. That's the downside to purchasing a bag like this - it isn't possible to know how well it protect until it's in a fire or flood, neither of which I am prepared to simulate. It is safe to say that length of exposure will be a big factor. This bag isn't going to protect anywhere near as long as a good quality fireproof safe will, but it ought to do better than the average book bag or document storage box, at least based on info provided by the vendor about its construction.So why four stars instead of five? Two reasons. First is pricing ($29.99 at the time of this review). Docking a star for pricing may not be truly fair, given I have no way to compare quality against less expensive versions of this product. Second is the lack of shoulder strap. This bag begs to be used actively. It's that nice. Unfortunately, this is a carry-by-handle-only bag. For those thinking fireproof integrity would be compromised by a shoulder strap, a quick Amazon search for "fireproof document bag with shoulder strap" suggests that probably isn't the case. Bottom line - if the vendor added a shoulder strap to this product, I'd order it again without hesitation - if I planned to use this for in-home or in-auto/RV storage, I'd order it again even without the shoulder strap.

This is a nice bag. Holds my 1.5 inch 3-ring binder perfectly with more room for notebooks or file folders. It has several pockets inside of various sizes for smaller items. One inside pocket is zippered and there is also a flap for credit cards, insurance, or identification cards (a good place to keep my social security card) and even smaller pockets. The feel of the outside material of the bag is not soft or smooth but different--which I guess I'd expect for something that would be waterproof and fireproof. I did spray some water on it, and it beaded up, nothing soaked in. I don't know what it would do if it were totally submersed but suspect better than a regular canvas bag. There is a combination lock in the bag itself. I'm sure that is useful to some, but I am concerned about losing my combination (and not having the directions to reset it) and what water or fire might do to the lock so I'm choosing not to use it. The description does not state how long at the high temps this bag is actually fireproof. Typically, the smaller safes are only good for 30 minutes so I wouldn't expect any longer for this, but it would be good if it is comparable and to know approximately how long.

This fireproof document bag is approximately 15 inches wide by 11 inches high. The outside material is a textured vinyl, which I can only assume is waterproof and fireproof. The material is soft and pliable and the bag can be squished down if you're not using the full depth of 3 inches.The inside of the bag is impressive with two double-sided flaps for holding documents, along with mesh compartments on the inside of the cover, and a sizeable interior compartment. This bag will easily hold all of your important documents.This bag has an outside combination lock, with instructions for setting your combo, and a carrying handle on top.I like knowing all of our important documents are in one place, and this bag will give you peace of mind, knowing your important documents are safe.

This bag can fit quite a bit! And it has slots and pockets to fit things like passports and cards etc. It’s great for all important papers that you need to keep safely in one place, but that can easily be grabbed if needed in an emergency.It’s also pretty stylish and soft too! I haven’t tested the fireproof and waterproof claim, for obvious reasons, but it keeps my documents safely in one place and is easy to carry and it locks, and that’s exactly what I needed it for!

This is an excellent option for keeping all those important papers and thumb drives in. There are a variety of sizes to the pockets inside and the mesh is elastic enough to both fit whatever you want to put in and hold it securely. Surprising capacity. The outer material and coating is great. The zipper seems both smooth running and durable. It's a great size for something that could be grabbed and taken out the door on a moment's notice. Great option for the price.

Excellent dividers with tons of little slots for things.Medical cards to identification and credit cards for the small stuff.Insurance information for vehicles and homes and people and pets. Immunization records and passports fit nicely as well.The lock is mounted to a soft sided edge so if the bag is not full it won't be the easiest to press the zippers into to lock. Simple place something plastic against the edge to make it easier.Hoping it's truly waterproof as I already had hurricane damage once and know how wicked the water can be. At the very least it will keep me from doing something stupid like spilling a big water jug on all my important stuff.I'm trusting their fire claims and not attempting to burn it.

I was reorganizing my parents important paper collection and this turned out to be the perfect case to do so with. The dividers with pockets are great for helping to keep things organized, and not one gigantic mess. The small pockets are great for keys, etc. Well made! I do love that it easily holds legal sized documents. The safe combo was also easy to set.
