Easiyo 252102 Greek Style Yogurt Base and Culture, 6-Ounce

I have bought and used all types of yogurt makers, electric, thermos, and oven styles. They all worked with varying degrees. The Easiyo thermos with this yogurt is by far the easiest and the best tasting. It does come from New Zealand and takes time in shipping. Its is a dry ingredient and just add water. I believe it is safe and natural. I havent tried the other flavors because I prefer the plain. one 6 once bag makes one liter of yogurt. It is not inexpensive due to shipping cost but worth every penny.

If you make it in the Easiyo Yoghurt Maker, this yoghurt is the consistency of frosting - YUM-O! I can't afford to make it all the time with these $5 packets, so I use this once every four to six months when my yoghurt starter begins to be less effective... I don't like being seduced into buying another product to use their yogurt. If you have a pressure cooker with a yogurt feature, you can use this product to produce tasty yogurt. Simply mix package of yogurt mix with 2 liters of water, put in pressure cooker liner, and press yogurt feature. On Instant Pot, it would be yogurt on the normal setting. Set time for as long as you want. No need to purchase special yogurt maker.

I'm sure this is a good product. I didn't have the device to mix it in so I had to guess at the amount of milk. It didn't work. Had to throw it away. It was a case of wasted money.

In spite of all the rave reviews, I wasn't a big fan of this starter. It's certainly easy to use (just add water) and has a nice texture, but the flavor didn't measure up to my store-bought favorite, Fage. Possibly I incubated mine too long, but it was way too tart for my tastes. Given the price, I won't be buying it again. I bought Easiyo's "Sweet Greek" yogurt starter and absolutely loved the flavor of that one (not too sweet or vanilla-ish...tangy with slight honey sweetness).

I bought these yogurt mizxes last August, and the price was $4.95 per packet. It is completely incomprehensible why they would have tripled in price in half a year. There is no way I would buy 6oz of powdered milk and starter culture for this price.
