Very good pet flap
Firstly I want to address a couple of the negatives..The one about it not clearly stating the door thickness and having to buy the extension adapter...it very clearly states "Easily fits into panelled, wood, PVC and metal doors 3.75-5cm"That person clearly hadn't bothered to read the full description.Another one complaining about being able to see light down the sides...that is where the brush bars meet the rubber flaps, they help keep the draft out...if you want double glazing standard, then teach your dog how to use a door handle...they've clearly never had a proper draft rattler pet door that blows the Beast From the East through your door and up your leg in the sitting room...seriously, I soooo appreciate how draft proof this one is!The one about "the mount for the 2 of the flaps blocks the frames from clicking together"...well, firstly they don't block anything, and secondly they don't "click" together, one is very slightly bigger than they other so they very smoothly slide in to each other giving a nice smooth surround to the whole thing, makes it much easier to clean too with muddy dogs.I fitted this very easily on my own in about 30-40 minutes, it only took that long as I struggle with fiddly screws. The instruction are very clear and easy to follow.I absolutely love the padded middle flap, that really does make a difference and helps to keep the rubber flaps apart snd connecting to their own magnets...oh yes, this has 2 sets of magnets, unlike the conventional 1 middle one, this is a game changer as once the two flaps lock in, there is minimal...and I really do mean absolute minimal, draft coming through.I've had years of many different pet flaps, currently 7 furry beasts, and this is by far the best one.I think I got it on a good deal, I paid £47.62 for the medium flap and £10.91 for the medium adapter as my door panel is a standard 28mm, you DO need that extra adapter as you can't fudge it to fit if your panel is not thick enough...it has to be between 3.75-5cm to not need the adapter. We are currently at -4 here is freezing cold Chester, UK and I can barely feel anything from the flap, in fact I can't feel any draft, just a little colder due to the aluminium frame...really can't ask.for more than that.So all in all, I definitely recommend this, so much so I went back and bought another ready to put in the extension.

A good heavy duty flap
Easy to fit as any other dog doors. The only negative is the security/storm door only snaps on. Not very secure and the dogs can get it off easily if you are trying to keep them out of the house.

Nice sturdy cat flap (not wind proof!)
The media could not be loaded. Fed up of opening the door for our cats and making sure they are in when we go out, I decided I would get a cat flap. We live in a cold windy part of the country so I went for this expensive "weatherproof" one. I can't say much for how weatherproof it is as I fitted it today on a quiet autumn afternoon. It was simple to fit with the right tools. It took around an hour including sealing it with sealant. It fits well and the flaps sit true In the hole, they are adjustable but didn't need Adjusting for my door. It would be sensible to tighten the screws gently and make sure they aren't too tight, or you end up pulling the frame out of shape, which will mean the flaps don't fit properly. One of my cats has taken to it easily, baring in mind he's never seen a cat flap before. The other one is an idiot but will get it eventually.I suggest sealing it well on both sides with an adhesive sealant rather than bathroom silicone. Also consider making sure that your door keys are kept away from the door for security. I have the small but it would be possible to stick an arm thru the flap and steal door keys.I'll update the review with how weatherproof once we have some bad weather! So far I'd recommend this flap it seems to be of good quality and I can see how it would help the keep the cold and draft out, in comparison to a standard single flap.EXTREME WEATHER UPDATE:This cat flap is not extreme weather proof! We are in the middle of a small storm with 30-40mph gusts of wind. The flap is opening by itself and it is very breezy in my kitchen!Probably still better than a regular single door flap but it's not as great as the packaging would make you believe.

Really good dog flap.
Had the older one with one flap used to blow open all the time this one with 3 flaps doesn't blow open even gale force wind doesn't open it more expensive but so worth it to have a warm house used the old door shutter on outside and new one on inside so super strong when open stays shut have 3 great Danes going in and out so large one had couple of months now and still good just swapped out old one for new fitted great same size also got £40 of price by going minor fault wasn't faulty just different cardboard box .

I recommend.
I've had the regular dog flap for years but it let the cold through every winter. This time I decided to change it for the extreme weather one and so far I'm so glad I did. I know it's not full winter yet but I don't feel the cold coming through in the evening. It probably won't be 100% insulating but it's definitely much better than the regular one in winter if you must have a flap and also want to keep your house warmer. Not cheap but worth it, luckily I got one from Amazon warehouse it's a bit cheaper.

Excellent product
This dog flap is fabulous as it keeps the heat in the house and is easily installed and accessed by our cats and dogs. Would buy again. Very happy with the seller too as product arrived promptly.

Easy install replacing our Petsafe single flap summer door.
-8 Celsius first night and draft is much much less through the insulated and three flap door. The slide hard door is vast improvement to the pop on summer door. I didn’t realize the slide slot for the hard door is on both sides in and out so an additional hard door could be put in the outside in extreme cold as well. Have to get the second plastic door or perhaps a thin plywood or corrugated cardboard? Recommended 👍🏻

My go to dog door
I have 3 of these in my house. These are sturdy, weatherproof (as weatherproof as you can have a dog door) and relatively easy to install. (Still would hire a handyman to do the door cutting of course).I wouldn't buy the cheaper brands or models because a good quality dog door is a security measure in itself. You don't want your dog door breaking on you.

Great once installed
Was quite a pain to get installed in the same placement as our old door of the same size from the same manufacturer but not the 3 layer.Had to drill some holes on the sides of the hole in my door.love the more sturdy construction! The edges curve to go flush with the door, the screws are metal (comes with plastic ones too but I hated them in the old one so opted for the sturdier seeming metal), the 3 layers all work well and seem to insulate more effectively while still being functional for my dogs.My 2 30 lb dogs almost immediately got used to the change, My 10 lb dog was definitely more hesitant and still sometimes just barks on the outside of it as if he can’t get through, but he can and is fine lolThe cover/closure is so much more functional than the old snap on covers! Love the slide! I can take it off with just a slight tug and lift which would have come in handy after I got hand surgery before the replacement and had a heck of a time getting the old one off lolOverall, sooo happy with this!

Great product
This was super easy to install with very clear instructions. Product is very durable. I have been using it for over a month now with two dogs around 60 pounds with no damage or wear and tear. It does a great job of insulating from the outside elements and closes every single time hands-down, I would recommend this dog door to anybody
