Not my favorite T.M. Logan book
The book started with a bang just like his other books but then it just kind of dragged in the middle. And a thriller of an ending. It was just OK. I liked Trust Me and Lies better.

T. M. Logan where have you been all my life?
Since reading The Curfew I’ve purchased 2 more of Logan’s books and can’t wait to read them all. The Curfew was an excellent mystery and a perfect float in the pool companion.

The next pick by Spinderella was ‘ The Curfew’ by T.M. Logan; the book I’ve read by him previous to this one wasn’t a great success but this one I liked. I have to say that it’s a slow-paced book but still, I thought I had it all figured out, turns out I didn’t know Jack. Our main character is a father / husband and Doctor, his name Andy Boyd. He is about to live one of the worst-case scenarios in parenting. The one where your child, in Andy’s case his son, has been involved in a ‘ crime ‘ and becoming the number one suspect in the investigation. The case being; The disappearance of Emily Ruskin, a popular girl that just loves the attention she’s getting. Connor (Andy’s son) is head over heels while his cousin Zac absolutely hates her guts. Then there is Olivia; The best friend who secretly wants to be Emily and has an unhealthy obsession going on and Drew; Mister big bucks and popular kid. Bit of a creep if you ask me. Emily invites Drew, Connor and Zac along with her and Olivia to the forest because she has some kind of surprise or idea, she wants to lay by them; before they can go any further all phones need to be shut off; So, there is no way of tracing them. Connor is supposed to be home by 12 and he cleverly sent a text saying he’s home around that time even though he isn’t. When the next day Zac comes wandering downstairs with wild eyes and not so many words; Arthur checks upstairs to see if Connor’s in. But he isn’t; So, where is he? Not long after a call comes in from police saying they’ve found him and he’s contained at the moment. Emily hasn’t come home last night, her mother is frantic and wants to know what happened, the police know that Drew, Connor, Zac and Olivia are the last ones that saw her last, but no one wants to spill, they all stick to ‘ no comment ‘. The weirdest things keep happening. Arthur and his brother Rob have grown closer after Rob’s wife died; Connor and Zac are like brothers, so close. But after the police interview Zac had to ignore Connor and Rob has been avoiding Arthur. While no one seems to know what happened and the kids that last saw Emilie alive not talking; Harriet, Arthur’s youngest child has set it upon herself to figure out what has happened and exonerate Connor in the process, she just knows her brother didn’t do anything wrong. Will she find out though? Will the kids finally speak up on what happened? And where is Emily? I’m giving this book ⭐⭐⭐.5 stars!

I rarely find the time to write reviews, but this book was such an exciting read that I went out of my way to do so today. Finished the book this morning and the last few chapters were incredible. The story was great from the beginning, but the last few chapters were so fast paced and edge of the seat captivating. You often read 'couldn't put it down' but that really was true for me on this rare occasion. I urge anyone who doesn't normally find the time to read to just give this a go. Short snappy chapters and fast paced story make this accessible to even the lightest of readers. The theme is also very relatable and often I found myself thinking what would I be doing in the same scenario. The leading character is a father whose 16 year old son is implicated in a serious crime and the struggles to clear his name of accept the awful truth of what his son might have done. The whole story plays out over less than a week and the action twists and turns with surprises along the way. I've never read this author before, but I'm definitely looking at his back catalogue for my next read. The only negative? The cover picture - it's too drab and doesn't sell the incredible story that sits between the covers. I highly recommend everyone to give this a try, especially if you like books that have short chapters and keep you transfixed from the beginning to end.

This author is like no other. Im into my fifth book by him. Nothing is getting done at home! I start one of his books and have to keep reading. It's heart in your mouth breath holding suspense from start to finish. They are easy to get into and then it's full on until the end. Twists and turns. I recommend all his books.
