Bozeman FlyWorks 55 Yards Fluorocarbon 4 Pack w/Holder

Not sure. I rigged up some nymphs with 6x, and headed to the So Platte. I had two nice hits, but lost both trout along with the flies... could have been my knots or the tippet strength, I don't know. I want to love this line, as I went to MSU Bozeman in the 1970's, and grew up fishing Montana streams and rivers!!

This is my second purchase of this item, and I love it. The compact design and clip make it perfect for mid- water or shore flies changes.The seller shipped quickly and the item arrived in good condition.

Flouro is flouro (at least I think) and for the price this is pretty unbeatable. My complaint is that the spools that hold the flouro do not glide well, so getting tippet off the spool can be challenging when you are out on the stream. Also, the bands that hold the tippet do not have a hole to take the tippet out, so again, makes life challenging on the stream. I am thinking about re-spooling the tippet onto the Orvis spools I usually use.In short, flouro (what you're paying for) is great. Spools however are not.

The holder was backordered. Got the tippet with a note about the backorder and time to ship. Also had a problem with one of the spools. Emailed them and they responded quickly. Spool replaced and holder delivered as promised. Seems to be good quality and service was first rate.

While I've only used this tippet once, it appears to be of adequate strength and fairly true to size. If the next month on the water proves out it will become my go to tippet. The price is very good and I like the tippet spools. The holder it came with is convenient, and it's easy to add or subtract spools as desired. Overall, if it holds up under the rigorous of day in day out fishing, I doubt I will purchase any other tippet going forward. This could be 5 star tippet. Time will tell.

I've lost track of how many of these tippet spools from Bozeman FlyWorks I've bought. They are by far my favorite, and I typically always go fluorocarbon. I've had great success with landing nice fish and knot strength. Great quality tippet material with more yards on the spool than typical, that's a win/win! Wish I could get the multi pack without the holder as I don't need another one of those, but it's still better deal than buying one off. Also wish I could customize pack as sometimes would rather just get 2 5x and 2 6x or similar.

Great price but I felt like the 6x l had less breaks than the 5x. Considering the cost of this compared to other fc line, I'd buy this all day. I liked this tippet and will be buying more in the future. It is good to find a fly company with a good product AND good price. Cheap orvis tippet is just a mirage.

Great fluorocarbon! And at a great price point too. Can't really differentiate between this stuff and the other big names I've used before... Until this gives me a reason not to I'm gonna keep buying it.
