Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Adult Grain Free Dry Cat Food, Reserve Duck & Green Pea Recipe, 4 Pound (Pack of 1)

My 19 yr old cat developed itchy patches behind both front legs. She scratched herself nonstop, no matter what I tried. Had to put her in pet shirts - which she HATED - while we searched for an answer. This food is it. The high quality and limited number of ingredients quickly gave her relief, and she LOVES this food. (She has always been a picky eater). Her skin has healed, most of the hair has grown back, and at the grand age of 20, she is SO much happier! Me too :-) !!

I have two large male cats who are both big eaters. Although they have both been fed a good quality, veterinarian recommended, pet store specialty kibble forever, one cat has been pulling out his hair, literally, for several months. Poor Toby Cat had become almost bald! He required continuous steroid shots in an attempt to control this problem. The other cat is a mostly Maine Coon with a bushy coat, which was rather scruffy and dull in appearance, despite brushing. I researched the entire cat problem sections on the internet, and finally decided to try Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck LID dry cat food, which I immediately ordered from Amazon. This food contains none of the usual fillers, and proteins are not ones usually encountered in other foods - major allergy inducers, especially after years of ingestion, as are grains, which are not to be found in this food. Also, most cats seem to need less of the Green Pea and Duck formula to feel satisfied. Amazingly, my Toby looks and behaves like a different cat! As does my Coon Kitty! They both now have full, shiny coats, have ceased the constant scratching and most of the constant licking (that's Toby, a diagnosed OCD). And although I did not realize this, both cats had become somewhat overweight. Both cats have lost about two pounds - they were 20+ pounders before - big boned boys, too. Now, they're both slim, trim, and more energetic! Toby has a far better disposition, since he's not concerned with his constant  Natural Balance Dry Cat Food, Limited Ingredient Diet Green Pea and Duck Formula, 10 Pound Bag discomfort, which is gone. Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck dry cat food has been a bit of magic for my cats and for me! This food would be a blessing to any cat. It's healthy! And for a cat experiencing allergies of any kind, it's a must! I wrote Natural Balance and thanked the company for restoring my cats. I thank Amazon for offering it at a reasonable price and getting it here promptly! Winners, all!

I bought this looking for a deal. I have 5 cats and they're not cheap to feed, but this food is reasonably priced. My cats have been on it for a month, now, and I've noticed some pretty impressive changes. My 8 year old boy's coat is smoother and shinier. My 1 year old twins have so much more energy and are constantly playing (to the point that they're almost annoying 😅). Neither of these things were true when I had them on the store brand version of this food. I will update if anything changes, but for now I'm extremely happy with this food.

I'll start by saying we live near a rendering plant. This made us curious about what rendering is. After doing our research about rendering and what goes into pet food we sought out pet food that contained little to no animal "byproduct." I won't explain further than that. You should definitely do your research before buying pet food. I won't even get into the wet vs dry debate. That is a whole other argument on pet food.That aside, we really like this brand of food for it's supposed quality ingredients compared to the bargain brands at your local Wally World. Our cat is 14 and she eats this stuff up without complaint. We try to avoid a bunch of fake preservatives and artificial ingredients in our own food. So it didn't seem right to subject our family pets to the same crud we try to avoid. Even Blue Buffalo brand claims to be animal by-product free. However, a little research into their ingredient list will show that they're not wholly innocent in food production either (although they are better than the traditional USA brands).Bottom line. It will cost you a bit more if you care about the quality of food that goes into your pet's body.

My cats love it but very expensive for a 4lb. bag.

One of my cats has bad food allergies that make her ears really gross and she gets really bad dandruff, so I was advised by my vet to switch to a protein she had never had before such as duck. Have been feeding her this for about 2 years now and her ears are much cleaner and her dandruff is much more under control. I have 2 cats and they steal each other's food so they both get this duck food despite one not having any allergies.Pros: They have the absolute SOFTEST and shiniest fur out of any cats I have ever touched. Seriously - they are like fuzzy blankets. It's ridiculous how soft they are. They've always been pretty soft cats but this food has made their coats 10x silkier. Everyone who touches them comments on how ridiculously soft they are. They also seem to drink a lot more water when they eat this food, which is good because cats are generally pretty dehydrated. It has also almost entirely cleared up one of my cats allergies, which is what the main goal was.Cons: Duck has a LOT of protein and this food is pretty calorie rich. My cats gained a lot of weight since starting this food, like 2lbs each. I now have switched them to "slow feeder" balls to help with dieting because there is not any weight control duck food that I can find on the market, and switching proteins is not an option unfortunately. While I am happy this food makes them drink more water, it also means they are using the bathroom more so I have to change their box more frequently.The biggest downside has definitely been the weight gain, but my cats are also lazy/10 years old so it may not happen for your pet.All in all this food is great and my cats seem to enjoy eating it. The 10lb bag lasts me about 2 months with 2 cats.

Of my three cats, this is the go to breakfast and dinner for one of them. He tends to overeat and throw up so I give him a scant eighth of a cup at each meal. He looks forward to it, eats every bite.

My cats like it. After trying different brands with no success- they will eat this one. And it is helping to clear up my cat’s skin rash.

一歳の猫が食物アレルギーでこちらのキャットフードに変えたところ、１ヶ月程で口の周りの赤みが治りました。それまでアレルギー用のフードを与えていたのですが全然治らずステロイドも併用していました。このフードに変えてからステロイドを飲ませなくても皮膚の赤みがでないので良かったです。ずっとこのフードを与えようと思います。

This food is great for our cat who was having issues with throwing up after eating dry food. We think he is sensitive to some ingredients and we haven't had trouble since starting him on NB pea and duck!

My cat has a sensitive stomach. When I adopted him he was on Royal Canin for cats that were recently neutered. His stool was very runny and he suffered from diarrhea a lot. At first I thought this could have been a residual effect from being dewormed at the shelter. However, after a month I decided it must be the ingredients in the food. I decided switch to him to a grain free food. I chose to order Natural Balance because I live in a rural community that does not have access to pet stores, and so I rely on pet foods available online. This food took about two weeks to arrive to Northern Quebec from BC. I gradually switched my cat over to this new food during the course of two weeks. He did not get sick from the switch, and is thriving on the new food. His coat is shiny and soft, he doesn't shed as much as before, and best of all his stool is solid, has a good shape and doesn't smell as bad (he used to clear out half the house after a bowel movement, now I don't notice until I hear him burying it in the litter box). His tummy probably feels so much better! I will continue to buy this food.

I have two cats, in which one is I THINK allergic to certain ingredients that the mainstream cat food brands (authority, iams, purina) and so I was recommended to try cat brands with limited ingredients, especially without meat by-products, grain, gluten, and/or corn. When I first opened the bag, the aroma filled the room. You can smell the potatoes and the organic ingredients in the dried pellets. I gave them to my cat and they quickly gulped it down. The pellets are very smell, less than a cm in diameter and less than half a cm in height. They are a great size for kittens (one of mine is) and cats to chew on and digest. I've also tried one myself and they taste great. I definitely would recommend this and the pricing is not bad! There's are almost 4 different quantities for each flavour, and the flavours are most enticing even to human beings.
