My review of Mavengrind Coffee Bean Grinder:This grinder is superb! I was looking for an electric bean grinder due to ease of use but all the grinders on Amazon have one thing in common, they quit working due to some motor/electrical problems. I was skeptical of buying a hand grinder because I had bought a "cheap" hand grinder before and I didn't like its performance.This grinder is very well made. It has a hexagonal shape and it is entirely made of metal (except for the wooden hand knob) The grinder has 3 major pieces, the handle assembly has a wooden knob that spins, the main grinding body, and the cup to catch the grinds. The handle is permanently attached and acts as a cover over the bean hopper. No coffee grinds escape from the top. The handle attaches to the grinder shaft by a hexagonal fitting. Sort of like the hex bits on impact tools. The grinding shaft and conical grinder feels like it supported by bearings. It's soooo smooth and easy to grind the beans. Adjusting the grind size is done on the bottom of the grinder assembly. Mine was perfect right out of the box.The hopper is kind of small. Just enough to make 1, 14 - 18 oz coffee. That is okay with me. I use the pour over method to brew coffee and it's perfect!The one or two bad things I didn't like:1. The grind cup is magnetically attached to the grinder. If you grab that area it may disconnect from the grinder. You have to hold only the grinder portion.2. The grinder body's surface is smooth so when you're holding it, it slides down your hand if you're not holding tight. The hexagonal shape prevents the grinder from spinning in your hand.Neither of those negatives are a problem, just have to be conscience of it. All that said is this grinder is a keeper!! I, HIGHLY, recommend this for purchase. I'm probably going to buy another for traveling.

Overall, this is a very good manual grinder. The grind is pretty consistent which is the most important factor. Cosmetically, the design is modern and sleek. Very solid construction and quality parts. Ideally, this is NOT an espresso grinder. It will grind to espresso size on the 3rd setting, but expect a 30 minute arm workout. Works best for a french press, pour over, or any filter coffee. On the 15th setting, it took about 30 seconds to grind down. The only negative thing I have to say is you can’t hold it by the bottom. The magnetic capsule will come off and will spill the grounds. Hold it by the top portion just underneath the grind handle.

The media could not be loaded.  As a coffee connoisseur, I've explored numerous manual grinders over the years, like the Timemore and 1Zpresso series. This grinder stands out with its top-notch construction, consistent grinding results, and sleek design. The polished grey aluminum body, stainless steel grinding burr mechanism, and stylish walnut handle make it both visually appealing and practical. Unliken troublesome twist-off canisters that often get stuck, this grinder features a magnetic bean canister for easy removal which I thought was a great touch.Despite its affordability, it delivers results on par with pricier options I’ve owned although it is a bit on the heavier side. I even purchased an extra one for my office. Highly recommended. Great product regardless of the methods you use to brew your coffee.

This coffee grinder is, by far, the smoothest manual grinder I’ve ever used. Setting the grind density is quite customizable, thanks to the selectable tension adjustment, and it stays put which makes for very consistent grinds. My French press and my pour overs have both benefited from using this manual grinder over the electric one I’ve been using. The magnetic cup keeps a hold of the grinds well, though the magnets could be a tiny bit stronger as I’ve knocker it off a couple times. I suspect this is due to the length of the grinder and the somewhat eccentric motion while grinding. The eccentric motion factor is definitely a thing with this grinder, and seems to be due to the handle, though I’m not sure if that’s more because of the handle length or the ergonomics. Regardless, it’s something to which I’ve mostly adjusted. The results make it very much worth it though.The other consideration, as other reviewers have pointed out, is that the handle doesn’t fold which makes transporting the grinder a little awkward. The handle can be removed, but there’s a process involved that simply having a hinge would have prevented. That’s the only reason I’ve deducted a star from the rating. Keeping it clean isn’t difficult with the provided brush. If you do need to wash it out, the disassembly is a little involved and you’ll want to i on any clues attention to how all the elements are assembled and in what order they go together. The spring tensioner takes a little effort to compress sufficiently to engage the outer fastener, but with patience it is workable. When I took it apart to wash it before using it, I was pleased to see that all of the components were of a high quality. The grinding element is machined to an exceptionally high quality and explains the price and the consistency of the performance. This is very well built and should last a long time if properly cared for.

Very high build quality and built to last. Fit, finish, function are all top notch. Grind is consistent size unlike using an electric impact style grinder. Grind size is extremely precision with lots of steps so you can tune it in just right. Price is higher than competition but liked it enough I have bought 4 so far.

I was so excited about this coffee grinder and as soon as I received it I read the instructions and viola! What a beautiful grinder and when they shut the power off due to Santa Anna winds I won’t have to stress out on grinding my coffee beans ever again! Thank you and I’m so pleased, Sincerely TKO

This is a good burr grinder that saves electricity and is satisfying to crank in the morning. The grounds are nicely uniform in size and it’s easy to use. I like my coffee strong so I need to fill it one and a half times. I sometimes wish the capacity was larger.
