Just working through this book and find it a mix of machine and hand sewing. Can recommend but I do not think it is a beginners book. Many different projects to complete and great at using scraps from stash. The book recommends to use linen but quilting cotton is ok. These two cushions are from stash and an old curtain.

This book contains several lovely sewing projects with clear instructions and photos. Was hard to choose which project to do first!!!

I pre ordered this book because I have tried Sallie-Anne's pattern before. The patterns are written very well and the photos are clear and helpful. I usually need both and was not disappointed. I particularly like the use of different materials in interesting projects e.g. rope baskets, the use of clear vinyl in pouches and the highly decorative feel to all projects. This means that I have continued to develop my sewing skills. This book is excellent value for money and will be well used. I cannot find anything the dislike about it. It would make an excellent, affordable gift for anyone with a crafting eye.

Only thing is there was nothing I’d not already seen the author do on a sewing channel

Worth the wait. The book is beautifully presented with lots of new skills to learn and lots of projects the keep me going for some time. I am really looking forward to getting stuck in. The instructions are easy to follow, with plenty of photographs to help. Please say there will be a second book

All was okay, only a few things were smaller than expected. But service is good

I waited quite some time for this book, because I follow the author on some of her projects. I’ve learned a lot of different things, and this book actually stretches your imagination of what you can do with your scraps.

Haven’t made anything yet but I probably will seems well written with good directions that make sense
