The Boy Who Invented Television: A Story of Inspiration, Persistence and Quiet Passion

Fantastic And A Compelling Historical Story!
When I started this book, I had no idea the impact Philo T. Farnsworth had on the creation of television....he was the guy who did it. Not Zworykin, and definitely not David Sarnoff as his marketing team/RCA tried and continues to pull the wool over the public's eyes. It's not only the story of who really invented television (backed up by countess facts) but Paul Schatzkin's writing style kept me very engaged in the book from beginning to end.The best part is the audiobook because the Schatzkin is a great storyteller as well as writer and I really loved hearing the author tell the story the way it was meant to be heard. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audiobook as I followed along with the ebook version at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised how good this book is and highly recommend it.

Forgotten Generational Visionary
Paul does a great job framing the story and making it a very compelling read. We should all know who Philo T Farnsworth is and his contributions, and I appreciate the author's efforts to this end. If you're an amateur scientist/inventor/entrepreneur, I think you will find a new hero in these pages. I know I did...

An easily understood explanation of how progress through invention & investment REALLY works
This slowly unfolding mystery drama is worth sticking with to the end. The author exposes the obstacles placed in the paths of the fathers of invention via incestuous relationships among corporations, government and academia.

A good man, inventor sent from God but mankind did not appreciate him.
If I highlighted vital parts of this book, almost every line would be marked. This is such an important read! I feel blessed that he was born and sad that he was not acknowledged in his lifetime.
