Replacing my Furls hooks with these!
These are so much more affordable than Furls. From Furls this many hooks would literally be hundreds of dollars, and the business model of purposeful scarcity and discontinuing popular hook models to drive price and demand has turned me off from Furls. I stuck with them because of my hands not hurting while using them. These hooks have similar dimensions as far as length and I like the longer throat on the hook many others lack. The handle on these is a little thinner, but works fine. I love metal crochet hooks but Furls hooks kept getting lost or broken, I dropped one once and the plated copper head snapped right at the hook. These are wood and aluminum and are much lighter and stronger because of it. I also like the feel of natural material of the handle more instead of plastic resin. And the sizes are so much easier to read. The felt case is awful, but I bought this for the hooks so it doesn’t affect my opinion much. I did get one hook out of the set with a rough handle, but it’s easily fixed with sandpaper. I do hope they keep an eye on quality control because these are lovely. I’m definitely expanding my set to include their other sizes.

BETTER than Furls, or any hook out there.
Ive been Crocheting for 53 years. I have HUNDREDS of hooks. Inline, taper head... long, short shaft. Cheap chinese made, SUPER expensive luxury hooks. Wood hooks, plastic, resin, stainless, aluminum ... you name it, I got it. Furls, Susan bates, Boye, Tulip etimo, Prym, Clover.... all the top brands. But while I have 6 Furls Streamlines that cost me 30 bucks PER hook !! I could never afford to splurge on the Oddysy hooks. I mean they are 200 dollars each !! which is flat out STUPID. Id rather give that money to a animal shelter. But I just KNEW that design would be MY perfect hook anyway. I saw these and they are VERY VERY similar. But at such a cheap cost could they be any good? Let me tell you what.... Now I have 100s of expensive hooks I doubt I will ever use again. These are SOOOOO amazeing !! I do a lot fo Cotton and wool. Talk about the worst for splitting and fraying, getting stuck on the hook, slipping OFF the hook. Tangling, snagging etc NOT with these hooks !! They GLIDE through like a hot knife in butter. NEVER a snag. No sqeaking noise. Never drop a loop. SOOO light weight and comfortable. Now I always prefered a VERY short shafted hook. My Tulip Etimos being my favorite. I am faster with those still, and they are awesome, but these while it took me time to get used to the longer shaft, hands down for puff stitches or any you need to keep a LOT of loops on your hook.... well you got the room on these. I cant say enough good things about them except I am going to buy at least one more set cause I fear losing one now. I just cant be without these ever again.

Nice hooks at a good price, but handles could be smoother
These are nice, the yarn glides nicely over the metal. The handles are ergonomic and feel good at first, but the wood isn't as smooth as I think it should be and after awhile using the hook it almost feels like it's rubbing too much on your hands. (Like if you used a wooden handled rake and end up with a blister at the end of the day). The wood isn't consistently smooth throughout the handle and has a slight texture to it. Otherwise I think they are good hooks.

Very nice hooks!!
I am recently returning to the world of yarn. Thanks to my son who dropped off a trash bag full of yarn someone gave him. I asked why he chose me, the answer " I know you would know how to use this". I haven't done any yarn work for at least 6 years. No tools, no yarn nothing. Long story shortened, I decided to pull the bag out and see what I could do. I ordered hooks. Not a bad set, it contained hooks from 0.5 through 6.5. Did the job, but cheap hooks. I made some flowers from the DMC, made a couple of pieces for my granddaughter and her dolls. It was time for better hooks. In my search through YT, I learned I'm waayyy behind the times. Folks are buying hooks at $200 a pop. Not all hooks are created equal, I get it, and if that's your thing, let it be your thing. I just need a good set of sturdy hooks that allow me to move through my stitches without making my hands ache. Purchased some bamboo hooks, not my favorite, although I did purchase some from Lion Brand, which I enjoy. I wanted a longer throat, but the feel of bamboo. Found these, watched a couple of reviews, waited until Black Friday prices and made the purchase. Very happy with these. I went back for the larger size. It came in a felt envelope, had the best stitch markers I've received to date, which includes those I purchased separately. I happen to prefer the safety pin style, but these are a better quality. I wish I could find them sold separately. Also some plastic tapestry needles ( use them to hold the yarn to the whip when stored). I have had the chance to work with a couple pricey hooks. I'll pass. Thanks Yarniss, no drag, no snag, just smooth stitches.

Rough handles, rough hooks
Decided to try them even though there is a warning these are often returned. I should have followed the warning. The handles are prickly, poorly sanded. Even worse the crochet hooks are not polished properly and do not slide through the yarn easily. It feels like there is resistance and causes hand strain. I don’t recommend these. Save yourself the trouble.

The hook
I love these. The handles are great. Yes the numbers may end up rubbing off, yet the feel in hand helps with my sore hands.
