Fantastic #5 “Plastic style” Zipper Sliders and Top Stops!
Worked great on my nice Winter jacket which had a broken Slider! As there were no directions with product I posted a photo write-up with directions here with my review.*Be sure to get the right size Slider, number/size may be marked on the back of your old one. Usually you can measure in mm the width of zipper with both sides closed for the size. 5mm width was a number 5 for me.*Sliders are also different styles for different zippers- plastic, metal, and waterproof are a few of the popular styles.*For removing the top stops, sometimes needle nose pliers work to just pull them off, if not the plastic stops can be sliced of with a utility or exacto knife ( wear gloves if using knives) until the stop breaks loose. Be careful not to cut into the edging under the stops.Have a great day!

Perfect fit and sturdy!
This was very easy to use and reinstall a new zipper. It even comes with clasps to reinstall the stopper. We had to remove the stopper on the jacket to take the old zipper off. Standard black color to match the old one and feels sturdy and reliable!Good value since it comes with multiple for future fixes

Shortcut to Replacing a Zipper
The problem to be solved was the failure of the slider on an indoor fleece jacket. The zipper itself was fully intact but the diecast slider on the jacket had broken after many years of use. Replacement of the slider was conceptually simple, involving the removal of the small retaining clip (stop) at the top of the zipper, sliding off the broken slider, and sliding on the new one. The one potential problem was then the replacement of the retaining clip (stop) at the top of the zipper with a new clip. As others have commented, the clips provided with the kit are a bit undersized. However, they are adequate, especially because the slider on the zipper is rarely slid high enough to potentially come off. Altogther, an inexpensive way to repair the jacket!

Works perfectly
This is the correct and exact replacement for the broken zipper pull on one of my favorite jackets. I was wearing it even though I couldn't zip it up. I should have bought this long ago! Easy installation.

Having the right slider for the zipper.
These sliders are a perfect fit for the two fleeces I had to repair. You need the code from the old slider in order to get the right zipper slider. It will save you a lot of time and money finding the right part. No one likes to send back merchandise for a refund over and over trying to get the right fit.

Zipper broke after 1 year
Zipper pull loose and failed to close after 1 year of use. Zipper pull broke off 1 week after zipper was inadequately closing and pull was failing to stitch zipper together correctly. Never was same as original zipper in terms of smoothness of operation.

Ordered without knowing...
Mistake!I ordered this on the picture alone not knowing that the size # is crucial.I got them and they are very much smaller than I anticipated. I later did some research and found out that size #8 is what I needed. Unless you have experience with this, you will have to do as much research as you can before ordering. It might have been easier to travel to a Walmart and size it by sight.Anyway, one small pack of two cost me $11, and returning it will cost me another seven, I imagine. So not worth it. So I'll be going the store route to be sure I'm getting something big enough and sized right.

Looks and works like your old zipper
Replaced my #5 broken slider with this large one and it works and looks like my old zipper slider when it was new. Much better than the screw on slider that didn’t work more than half the time or if you zip up at a normal quick rate. Get these instead.

Outstanding product
Easy as pie to install as there is a track at top zipper to track new slider into molded zipper. Much better than the old one. Saved me $$$ and time, thank you.

not worth it.
I wanted to replace a coil zipper #5 slider. None of these worked. Replacing a slider is more complicatedthan you'll be lead to believe. There are many different types and sizes of zippers, each requiring a different slider. additionally, a universal slider will not work on all zippers. In my case I'm looking to replace a slider for TEX #5 coil zipper. No universal #5 slider works on this zipper. No YKK #5 slider works. I will need to search thrift stores for an exact match.

Fixed two sweaters!
I had two different sweaters that I really liked where the zippers broke. But neither of them was very expensive so taking them to a store to get fixed wasn't really worth it. So I figured I would give this product a try and if it only worked on one it would still be worth it.I got it a few days ago and using a pair of pliers and some scissors I was able to fix each one in about 5 minutes. The hardest part was getting the old plastic zipper stops off, since the seemed to be glued to the zipper. But once I got it the new zippers went on super easily and work great. I also like that these are real YYK Zippers since some of the other zipper repair kits for sale aren't and the comments on those ones say they don't always work.So I am happy my favourite sweater is back to working like normal, and I still have one more zipper slider incase something else breaks.

These do work
It took a while to figure out how to install, but I eventually did (you need pliers, and put it on from the top of the jacket). It really should come with some instructions. I still don't know what the tiny halfmoons are for.
