The product details on Amazon would have you believe that the flow regulator is not fitted that is not correct the shower head comes with the regulator firmly in place. There are no instructions on the packet as to how to remove it, instead you are referred to a specific page on the Bristan Web site, but this only provides a link to the instructions, not the instructions themselves. Having found the instruction page there was nothing about removing the flow regulator . Consulted YouTube and found a helpful clip but the method suggested involved driving a screw into the regulator thus negating any guarantee! However, I took the plunge and with the screw in place the regulator came out easily . The Shower Head now works fine but the moral is to make absolutely certain you don't need the regulator. This experience underlines what I have found about Bristan in previous dealings - they make good products and a plumber I know will hardly fit anything else but their focus seems to be the Trade and they do not appear go out of their way to help the DIYer so make sure you have a bit of a clue as to what you are doing

I've had a Bristan shower for about 5 years and, living in a hard water area, the nozzles on the head block quite easily. It's not difficult to clean but they had got brittle and started to snap off.Bought this to replace the original head. This is bigger but just as good. No complaints at all.

Very good shower head. Maybe a bit plastic but does the job and still looks very nice.Some reviews have mentioned drilling out the flow limiter. You actually just need to pull it out with a pair of pliers, no need to drill it. However because I was able to put in and out at will, I have tested with and without and the difference is very small: I would say there is about 20% more flow without the limiter. The shower head still gives a very good flow with the limiter so I have left it in.

Medium priced shower head, I got fed up of cheap poor quality heads, so spent a little bit more on this one, it’s worth every penny, really nice flow of water, plus it’s suitable for my Combe boiler. So it’s actually protecting my boiler as well.

This head is the correct make for my shower but still seriously reduced the flow rate. It also feels very cheap and light compared to the original.At first I thought it must be the water pressure, so I went back to my old head, and the flow returned.

Needed a replacement shower head and this one looked like it would do the job. I like a shower with plenty of water so the first thing we did was remove the flow limiter - good pair of pliers did the job. Product seems well made and is doing a great job several months after purchase.
