Amazon Echo (2nd generation), Charcoal Fabric - International Version, UK power adaptor

Really handy and unobtrusve piece of kit. Great sound and obvs the Alexa skills, although not sure about privacy issues, but this is not related to the speaker

I was given this as a gift. I really did not think I would have a use for it. I found it quite difficult to set up ( am in my seventies) but eventually, after a lot of swearing and cursing and threats, it worked! OK I thought, I don't want to switch lights on etc. as not set up for such, and really don't feel a need for it. Really the only function it had (for me) would be for playing music. I LOVE all kinds of music, have a HUGE music library mostly on Amazon music which I have transferred to several I Pods. I love to have music wherever I go, but can't always achieve it. SO I asked Alexa to play one of my favourite tracks. UGH! the bass was dreadfully loud, the treble hardly there at all. So what to do to change it? Couldn't get any help from my Fire tablet, even had no joy on Youtube. Got good and mad and shouted at Alexa " turn the bass down to minimum and the treble to maximum" RESULT!!!! It's really too simple, Amazon, what are you thinking of?!!! LOVE IT NOW!!!! Still wouldn't use it for much else, but for music, I love it. Thank you Amazon!

I got this in 2017 and now it’s unresponsive when it’s plugged in and I don’t know what to do so please help me

Bought this over a year ago with the knowledge that I needed the international version and not the UK version to ship to Malta. Bought it at a premium also as the item does not get discounted like it's UK counterpart and also you do not get the latest version of the product.Year on passed thinking that the hiccups that I experienced when I purchased it would be resolved by time as the product and software evolves more. How wrong I was.- Traffic updates don't work- News does not work and I only get US based news- Had to change my country to UK in order to get music from a Spotify Premium account to work (free version does not work on Echo for some reason)- Directions from one place to another don't work and hence cannot estimate how long it will take- Voice recognition works around 60% of the times, with the other 40% being frustrated shouting at a machineAnd now I've tried to go set up voice recognition so that it knows who is speaking and hence don't have any tom dick or harry visiting my house be able to purchase item on my account or change the lights, and the feature does not work because my address and my account don't match. Not a problem, go to change those, and still does not work. Contact support and all they can say is, Malta is with Amazon.com not with Amazon UK, we'll send your issue to them and they'll get in touch with you.

Works as described. Lack of Cyprus map locations support and Cyprus sports/news but thats regional/skill specific. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars. Spotify works great and works with Sonoff light switch as well. Good sound and good voice recognition.

A very good little device, I'm using it in Cyprus and I get radio stations from Poland and the UK without any issues.

Mine works perfectly in Spain. Use mine for streaming BBC radio 2 and LBC. No boundaries
