Has good power, but is large and noisy. I would buy again great price.

I'm no artist, but this does what intricate tasks, I do get myself into. It is much quieter than H F tool it replaced .

I use this constantly while building/modifying/fixing stuff or new projects. The full kit of bits makes it easy to do any number of jobs especially diy projects around the house. The tool is surprisingly quieter than expected but still just as much power as other brands.

I was impressed with the kit even before I took it out of the box. The display box comes with a cutout for the kits handle. This makes it super easy to carry the kit while it is still packaged. This would be very handy for carrying it to the cash register. I admit, not a big deal but sometimes it’s the little things that make or break a product.Okay, I opened the box and found a sturdy carry case with latches and a heavy duty handle and a wide array of accessories and the tool itself. The rotary tool is heavy. It will cause fatigue with prolonged use. However, there is a 34-inch flexible shaft with a light weight 5-inch handle that is easy to use and gives you good control and flexibility.I’m not going to go over all of the accessories since most of them are pretty standard with most rotary tool sets of this ilk. However there are a couple of extras that I haven’t seen before. One is a desk clamp to hold an arm that will hold the cord up and out of the way. Another is a base that screws onto the business end of the tool and gives you a steady platform for milling or constant depth if you are drilling. There is also a clear guard that is intended to be a shield to keep debris from getting on you. However I cannot figure out any way to attach it. Maybe just my ignorance but I just cannot figure out how to use it. There is also a set of replacement motor brushes, a nice touch that I don’t see much anymore.All in all, I think it will be a great tool and I will use it a lot. I will keep my old one around for quick light work just because it is much smaller and lighter. But, for everything else, this is now my go to tool.I did have one small issue when I tried to attach the flexible shaft. There was a felt ring under the screw on cap and when I removed the cap to install the flexible shaft I observed that the felt pad was wedged between the two halves of the case. This was creating a gap and made it difficult to screw on the shaft. I took the tool apart and repositioned the felt pad/washer inside the tool and re-assembled it with no problem. Another thing that I noticed was that they used ball bearings and not sleeve bearings like so many cheaper tools use.

I ordered this set mainly for the carving bits because I have been wanting to try carving with my rotary tool, but hadn't gotten around to buying the carving bits. I also needed that cut-off wheels and the sanding bands. This is a decent set. So far, the accessories have worked as they should. I don't think they would handle heavy usage, but for hobby use like I do, they are great. I like that they come in three nice storage boxes that all attach together for easy storage. The storage boxes are not very sturdy and I don't think they would hold up very well in a crowded toolbox, but if they are handled carefully, I think they will be just fine. I really like that each of the three boxes has one of the wrench/screwdriver combo tools that are needed to change the different accessories because it always seems like I struggle to find mine every time I need it. Now I have plenty of them so they will be easy to locate. I am satisfied with this set.
