can it handle angles other than +90? For example, can i angle it partially to 30 degrees?

The spanning of the camera forward or backwards, yes. As to the quick release on the mounting plat, it is locked in the flat (horizontal) position. You push a button and it enables you to re-position it to the 90 degrees (vertical) position, where it locks into place. You have to push the button again in order to return to the original position. So, even though it travels past the 30 degrees position there is no way to lock it there, I would have to say the answer is no. There is a video in the reviews that demonstrates it very well.

Am i able to remove the extra screw in the qr plate? i have a sony alpha a7 iv.

Hello Customer, Greeting. You could remove the extra screw. We are worried about losing the screws, so we have prepared 2 screws. You can remove a screw according to actual needs. Regards, SmallRig
