Securing these Lionheart 45s at such an incredible price is an absolute steal! I initially had reservations about sand-fillable weight plates, but this purchase has transformed me from a skeptic into a true believer. In fact, I've been so impressed that I'm going to purchase several more.To fill them, we sourced clean biogenic sand from a nearby hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes, ensuring it was free from any organic or impure materials. Filling the plates wasn't the simplest task due to the relatively small openings, but once the sand is in, the velcro enclosures prove their worth by effectively sealing it inside. It's crucial to choose sand that doesn't clump together to avoid any complications.These Lionheart black 45s live up to their advertised capacity, providing a robust 45 lbs of weight. We've been using them in our backyard, primarily on our concrete patio area. They're perfect for when you want to engage in some weightlifting without worrying about the potential damage or harm caused by metal or dense rubber plates. I can't recommend these highly enough; they're a fantastic addition to any workout routine!

They seem sturdy but are much larger than expected and not quite as easy to load with sand. A funnel will help. It seems the size could be taken down in diameter while still providing the opportunity for the weight.

I absolutely love these. Such a smart idea and they can have multiple uses. Could be used to hold down corners of pop-up gazebos, weigh down a truck bed for traction, etc. They are a bit tough to fill. There are about 8 interior compartments that keep the sand evenly distributed throughout the bag. Each compartment is connected passage on the inner and outer edges of the bag so it takes a lot of packingand shaking to get the sand fully compacted farthest away from the filling hole. I was able to fill each bag to a weight of 42lbs each. Might try topping them both off in a few weeks after they settle a bit more. They are a perfect addition to my garage home-gym. Weight plates got really expensive during and after the pandemic. With the exception of their bulky width, these actually work out better than plates because of the versatility, compact size when not filled, handles to perform other exercises and move them around, and no worried of dropping and damaging flooring are making a lot of noise. Extremely well thought out design and durable. Heavy duty material. Highly recommended.

Finally had an opportunity to get some sand in these bad boys. I haven't weighed them yet, but it sure feels like 45 lbs to me.The fabric is very strong, dual stitched canvas. VERY HEAVY DUTY! The will fit perfectly on either a straight bar or, as I'm using them, on a pull sled. Excited to start of my daughters track training early, and these amazining versatile and durable weight options fit perfectly into my plan. These are very high quality, built tough and made for the long run. Great value for the price too!
