I used one to make a bow tie for a friend and he's a particular sort of fellow so if he said it works for him then I'm happy to continue working with them for future bow ties. Upon inspecting the materials, they appear sturdy and of good quality. They're nicely adjustable with the hardware, but contain a second degree of fit with the stretch of the elastic band. These work very well for our bowtie sets. They are adjustable and made with a strong enough fabric that will hold well. My only thing I would say, if I had something not so positive to say is that the male and female pieces that clamp together could be a little more sturdy. Not that we've had issues with it breaking but, I just think it could be a little stronger. However, these straps are working for what we need them for.
