Q: will this work on electronic components like potentiometers?

I would not use this on electronics. It would leave a insulting residue that would interfere with their operation. Use a spray that’s strictly for electronics.

Although the various packages contain “Cautions” pertaining to the application of the product, these are required in order to meet universal government standards. Rarely, contact results in eye or skin irritation. However, common sense application procedures should be followed to reduce the likelihood of exposure.

Q: Does this spray black?

no the spray dry lube does have a whitish dry film. the regular super lube is clear with an oily finish. this is great stuff.

Q: can this work in a constantly wet environment?

I only use it for preventative maintenance on my outdoor locks on my warehouse. Sometimes the locks don't get used for a year or so. Works well. It was used (recommended) by my local locksmith.
