Though I wasn't too enticed by the book description I thought I'd give it a shot since the Charlie Crawford, Nick Janzek and the Savannah sisters series have been so enjoyable. Unfortunately, I should have listened to my instinct and gave it a pass. It's an okay story and I found myself not really liking the main character, Matt Braddock, and totally couldn't relate to anything in his life. Regardless, it was fairly entertaining, though the interaction between Braddock and the police detectives was far-fetched. The character I suspected turned out to be the culprit so kind of anti-climatic for me.This sounds really negative, which isn't my intent. If you haven't read any of Mr. Turner's other series then you'll probably really enjoy this one. If you're a fan of the previously mentioned series then you probably won't find this up to snuff. All in all a pleasant way to spend an evening or so.

Another barn burner by Turner
Like his new character Matt, who has more S^^ than any other bachelor I know. But I prefer Ben Porter and his stories of intrigue and a rare bedroom scene. Check him out in False Assurances, Threat Bias, Subversive Addiction, Vital Deception and coming May 5, 2023 Epic Injustice.

New series, locale and protagonist.
Since I read all his other series, I had to try this new one from one of my favorite authors. By chance, we had gone to visit friends from Savannah who winter in Palm Beach, and drove down to Delray, passing through Whispering Pines. That evening, we were joined by another friend who happened to live in Delray for drinks. So we talked a little about the area, and what fertile ground it was for storytelling. Pity neither of them were good storytellers.I enjoyed the way Tom alluded to his Palm Beach series, written by “an author who I don’t know”. And bringing Charlie Crawford in as a cameo reminds me of my former favorite author, Stuart Woods (may he RIP). So as usual, great new characters, solid plot twists, including one at the end to make me look forward to the next installment. Well done Mr. Turner!

A Very Heady Crowd
I am very pleased with the quality of the storyline. However I am just a middle class person my self and Ireally did not feel a connection with the uber riche.I really enjoy the the work a day cops and killers more.

Tom Turner delivers.
One of Tom’s best. I particularly liked the ending. Matt’s new lady friend, Leah, sounds like a keeper. I hope there’s a book 2.

Bravo for Braddock
Tom Turner does it again.Another page turner to solve a murder. This one, on a golf course, proves to be one with a mysterious twist.

Outstanding!!
Couldn't put it down! Already looking forward to the next book in this series. As always Tom has unexpected twists and turns. The locales and the characters really come to life, and take you along by land and sea as the crime is investigated. Murder, mystery and mayhem await along with just enough spice to keep things interesting.

Disappointing
Having read all the Palm Beach books I was quite disappointed in this first book of a new series. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it half as much. I felt the storyline was rather weak, the dialogue rather stilted and far too formal speech between friends. I felt myself skim reading just to come to the end of the book. At the moment I cannot envisage reading any more in this series.
