PROS:small / inconspicuousunobtrusiveno lens damagegood magnetCONS:requires active surveillancetricky to adjustadhesive a bit weakcan be knocked away with perpendicular force — recommend lanyarda bit fragilesomewhat expensiveThis is the overall best and most aesthetic/least conspicuous mirror system I’ve found. The design is quite clever and the overall mechanics are well thought-out. Compared with dorky, large, fixed-position on-bike mirrors (like the kinds on cars), you do have to actively decide to slightly turn your head a few degrees to look. Otherwise, you will not catch movement from behind until it is right upon you. Helmet-mounted and glasses arm-mounted mirrors are a compromise between this product and car-type mirrors in this regard but are far more noticeable. If you are deaf and/or most concerned about getting caught unawares, then you might opt for car-type mirrors or a radar system.Adjustment is tricky, but this is unavoidable considering that everyone has different head sizes and eye spacing/positioning. It’s probably not easy to move between different models of sunglasses without a fair amount of adjustment. It has a bit of a fragile arts-and-crafts feel, and the wire arm worries me for metal fatigue after repeated bending adjustments. I would not recommend using pliers or sharp bends. While the magnet is strong enough that it has not fallen off while riding, it is not difficult to knock off with perpendicular force so I recommend a lanyard (as pictured). The adhesive is a bit like jelly and barely sticky enough to keep it on the lens without damaging it, but it is a bit weak and has a little bit of play so I press on the mount every now and again to make sure it stays on. I also bought an extra mount just in case. I’ve mounted the standard sized version right in the corner of an expensive, authentic Oakley Jawbreaker photochromic lens (pictured), and have no worries about the lens even after repositioning the mount a few times. I bent the arm a fair amount to put it into a small corner of my vision, which is hard to capture with a camera, though I tried (pictured). I’d estimate it takes roughly 3% of my total field of view, or if you imagine a 10 x 4 grid it occupies the square on the top row, second column.I’ve found having a mirror to be very useful for my riding, and this is the best product for aesthetics aside from no mirror at all. Functionally, it’s not quite at the level of an 18 wheeler mirror but that is simply the tradeoff you make if you want inconspicuousness. Otherwise, I have no major complaints after the few tweaks described above.

Great mirror, but requires some care
I've used bike mirrors attached to the frame of my glasses or to my helmet for years. A friend introduced this mirror to me, and I liked it. Once the base of the mirror is stuck to the lens of your glasses, the mirror is separately attached by a magnet. Since it's held on only by a magnet, it must be adjusted each time you put your glasses on. And, when you take your glasses off, you'll probably have to remove the mirror. I though I'd avoid that by placing the mirror on the base as I wanted it and adding a little epoxy. That worked, but whenever the mirror is pressed against, like when you're setting it aside at the end of a ride, pressure is placed on the sticky attachment of the base to the lens, causing that to come loose. So, the mirror works well so long as you reattach and readjust the mirror to the magnet with each ride.

Small, unobtrusive, and effective.
After trying nearly every helmet or glasses mounted cycling mirror on the market, I finally decided to try the Specchio after a friend's recommendation. I wanted something that a) would stay put where I aim it, b) doesn't vibrate and make viewing difficult on bumpy roads, and c) didn't look like some huge thing on the end of an arm sticking out in front of my helmet or glasses. Helmet mounted mirrors have worked best in the past but really don't look that great on a helmet and are subject to vibration distortion. Every other glasses-mounted mirror I have tried vibrate and are subject to coming loose way too often. Most modern cycling glasses have rather curved and aero style temples that make attaching a clip-on mirror difficult. More than once I have had to stop and pick up my mirror from the pavement. The Specchio is different in that it attaches directly to the lens of your cycling glasses via a small magnet that stays attached to the lens by an adhesive. The mirror attaches to the magnet and can thus be easily adjusted by twisting it around when attached and removed when not needed or for storage. The small plastic bottle in which the mirror is delivered works well for storage and fits inside most sunglass cases. The entire assembly is small, lightweight, and unobtrusive and almost unnoticeable. The view is comparable to almost any other cycling mirror and it is stable. The image in the mirror is observable without vibration distortion on even some of the worst roads. Tweaking the mirror position for the best view can be done by small, gentle bends of the metal arm to which the mirror is attached if necessary.

The Specchio is the perfect cycling mirror
Summary- Great product and I recommend getting this over other mirrors.Let’s start with customer service. Outstanding. I had a couple of pre sale questions and Chris was very quick to respond and helpful. He even reached out to make sure I had glasses that would work correctly. Now for the mirror.I have been using a helmet mounted mirror for a couple of years until age and strong wind on a descent took it off. I didn’t realize how dependent I was on a mirror.I’ve tried the ones that clip to your glasses socks but they were bulky and shaky.During a web search the Specchio showed up. I was intrigued and after some correspondence with Chris decided to give the large one a go.Installation was a breeze. The field of vision is equal to my helmet mounted mirror. No shaking of the image. It’s small and easy to store unlike the helmet mount which was always in the way and other glasses mounts that are bulky.Bottom line here. If you’re looking for a mirror get the Specchio. If you ride on the road and don’t use a mirror get this one. I use it paired with a Garmin Varia RT510 and it really gives me peace of mind for what’s behind me.
