Really cute, and fun to assemble, great gift
Got this Japanese Street View Building Lego-style set recently, and it's very cool. It's not your brand-name Lego, but who cares when it fits just as well? The set's packed with these adorable little details that really bring the scene to life, making the whole assembly process super engaging and fun. Plus, seeing it all come together piece by piece was incredibly satisfying. It's not just building; it's like you're crafting your own mini-world. And the fact that it came with two bases meant I could get creative with where I set it up. Whether you're a hardcore builder or just looking for something unique to spend your time on, this set hits the mark. Adds a whole lot of charm to the room once it's done, too.

Not much taller than 10 inches when finished but very detailed, easily fits on a shelf
The media could not be loaded. While my brother was the big LEGO collector growing up, I had a lot of other building sets and it was always something I enjoyed. Every now and then it's fun to relive those childhood memories with a quick little building set like this Ramen House by LOZ Mini Shop Bricks which was more challenging than I was originally expecting just because the pieces are so small (maybe 1/2 or 2/3 the size of LEGOs and I have gigantic hands and fingers, so this was a real test of dexterity and finding ways to exert leverage when a piece had to fit into a very small space was a fun mental exercise.***Instructions are thorough, but might make you feel colorblind with its brown/tan/red pieces***The instructions are easy enough to follow with the pieces laid in any previous step being grayed out and only the pieces from the current step being in their accurate color. And yet, this is where a little bit of imperfection creeps in with this skin. There are about 6-10 pieces that are of a red hue but in the printed instructions it's pretty difficult to tell it apart from the basic brown, and then there's an issue with a lighter brown that in the instructions isn't always easily distinguishable from the normal brown. To really tell the difference and clarify you need to look at the "required pieces" section for each step to give you more of a hint and see the pieces next to one another to figure out "Okay, that's two red pieces, a brown piece, and reddish brown piece."And then there are the stickers: I was bad at applying stickers to toys when I was a kid, and it's only gotten harder with giganto-sausage fingers. And these are super small stickers which doesn't help, and in a step that has a sticker to apply there can be anywhere from 1 to about 8. Like I said before, this was a real test in dexterity in a number of ways. Luckily, I did pretty well with a few being slightly off-center but nothing absurdly embarrassing. There are a fair number of extra pieces included (how they were chosen, I'm not sure as it appears to be a VERY random selection. It's almost as if they're aware of how absurdly small the pieces in this set are and they just said "Odds are most people are gonna drop/flick/brush a few of these off the side of table, so we should give them some backups. Throw 30 random extras in there."***The finished model really is quite small, pictures can make it look quite a bit bigger***The nice thing about small pieces though is that there is just SO much detail in this set, like way more than there needs to be because once it's finished it's hard to see inside, so the only person who will ever truly appreciate how much detail is in the three rooms of this 3-floored Ramen house is the builder. The finished model has 412 pieces, but with so many of those dedicated to small details it fits in the palm of my hand.***Overall Value***The added difficulty of the small pieces made this a much longer project that it would have been otherwise, and that's not a criticism. For $18 I definitely got my money's worth in terms of time spent building, though someone with nimbler smaller fingers might be able to whiz through it far faster (I was also stopping after each numbered step to take a couple pictures to compile into the video).

A really fun kit.
This kit seems to come with all the pieces, but I haven't finished it yet, so I can't confirm. However, there are instructions included to contact the company for any pieces that may be missing, so that's a great assurance that any problems with missing pieces will be resolved quickly. The pieces are separated in little bags so that the kit can be put together 'chunk' by 'chunk', and then joined with other chunks. The blocks go together just fine, but I'm going to glue them as well when I'm finished, because this is looking like a great display piece so far. I'm pretty excited to finish it up, but I'm only able to work on it for limited time here and there with my workload demands right now.Everything is included, so far everything is going together perfectly, and I am enjoying my time with this one. It'll look spectacular when finished. Not suitable for small kids, as there are tons of small parts. Stick with a teen or adult on this one, I think. I'm going to put this on my shelf with some of my Naruto figures, lol. This would be a good gift for folks who like to put together models, for fans of Japanese culture, and for folks who enjoy anime. Really cute and it's been fun to work on, knowing that I'm going to have an excellent reward at the end of it.Now if I could just get some time off work so that I can finish this up!

Tiny and cute, NOT compatible with regular Lego
In case you missed it in the description, these are MINI blocks and are much smaller than typical Lego blocks. They are not compatible.Other than that, this set is really cute. I have the sushi restaurant that goes next to it, plus a "cat cafe." These blocks are decent quality and snap together well. If you have big or clumsy fingers it might be very difficult for you. The pieces are so, so small, and many of them are a single "dot" long. There are stickers, which might be more easily applied using tweezers. The instructions were mostly easy to read. There was a handy reference chart showing every single type and color of pieces included. However, the instructions are not in booklet form. It's basically a large two sided poster. It's a bit annoying having to fold and unfold the massive paper every couple minutes to find the next steps.I knocked off a star because of two reasons: they concealed too much of the interior, so you can't appreciate the details inside after you've completed the build. Also, there were a few pieces that I couldn't stop knocking off every time I worked on subsequent steps. They were in an awkward spot and not super secure. It was hard getting the pieces back into place given the lack of space to maneuver within.
