A rare movie appearance by Dennis Franz and a good one.
Seems to be based on some Kennedy assassination theories. I loved it. Hackman and Jones are two of the greats.

Good Old movie
Glad I picked this one up. KL did a good job again, and it's a very good older suspenseful movie. I'd recommend it.

For a rather dated movie, the acting and script were well written and directed.

Great movie from start to finish
Today's Hollywood couldn't make this caliber of movie if they had an unlimited budget and 20 years to do it.What masculine actors do we even have in Hollywood that could pull of a serious role like Gene Hackman did? Nobody.Every single actor did a stellar job. You can tell they took their parts seriously, no matter how small.Not only that, but the writing is good, the plot (although a bit far fetched with today's eyes) is great, the music is good (nice combination of Russian and American themes), and the cinematography is good.

A Sleeper from the 80s
This is unexpectedly gripping. A detente era conspiracy thriller with traitors from within the U.S. intelligence forces and hawkish military men who want to derail nuclear disarmament by targeting world leaders. Hackman and Cassidy are great. So is Dennis Franz. John Heard and Tommy Lee Jones are terrific as the cool, detached bad guys, methodically carrying out the plot.
