Dell Premier KB900 Keyboard

This keyboard is great, even though I don't use features like Zoom. I upgraded from my previous Dell Premier keyboard mainly for the backlight sensors. It has an ambient light sensor to adjust brightness based on the environment and a proximity sensor that lights up the keys when your hands are near. Be sure to install Dell Peripheral Manager to update the firmware to the latest one, as the default setting has too short a lighting duration.

Very solid keyboard, connects perfectly with my Dell desktop, also it’s heavier than expected.

I thought the keyboard was malfunctioning for months until I updated the firmware and the issues disappeared.

Good not great. The Caps Lock light does not stay on, you have to hit a key to see if it is on. Be prepared to get less than two years of use because after that certain keys do not work wen you strike them. No not an error, the H key works intermittently. Oter keyboards are better, don't waste your money!

This keyboard is well designed for the work from home person and is especially helpful for MS365 and Zoom meetings. The shortcuts for Zoom are not buttons - they can't be seen when you are not using Zoom. Board has a slight slant with the legs up, the keyboard is not extra noisy but it also is not completely silent. It's probably about as quiet as anything available. Comes well packed. Numeric pad on the right side. Charge lasts for a long time - no need for batteries. You can use the keyboard while charging if needed. Both ends of wire are a c connector so if you don't have a c port, you will need an adapter. A bit pricey but I don't regret the purchase. Item was left at the wrong home as I received the delivery notice and the picture was not my porch! I had to order again but amazon did not give me a hard time and it arrived the next day.

After 10 months of use, the "E" key broke. No droping or any other damage - just a manufacturing defect. When contacting Dell for a replacement keycap or to send in for repair, I was told the 3 year advanced exchange service doesnt cover manufacturing defects, only connectivity issues. Low quality product, worse customer service.
