Diameter is 1.5” wide -not .78” wide.
I searched and searched for a knob that’s 1” or smaller. Product description says .7/8” but are actually 1.5” wide/diameter. These are being returned as they don’t fit my cabinet since we lost the hardware in our move.

Though beautiful and affordable.... I ordered a lot... and they were all different lengths and most spin. They aren't going to fall out by any means. I just wish they didn't spin. I would still buy them again.
