Huge, absorbent and soft.
These are excellent but so huge.I think being that big is quite good although I'd like to find out if the medium is as absorbent. These are said to hold 7 pints of liquid so fills me with confidence when used under my mother on her bed. I tend to use these just for overnight due to her being more relaxed any pads have a lot to contend with. These definitely do the job well and keep mum's skin in good condition.I use a bed protector which is 60 x 90cms and these pads are just about the same size when laid out on top. They are also very soft which is a good thing because when being pulled through to the front they are gentler and leave no scratchy marks. All in all I'm happy with them but if I could get them in a medium, with the same absorbency I'd like to hope they'd be a little bit cheaper and every penny counts doesn't it.

Good fit (medium), comfortable and very absorbant
I'm 32" waist and these easily fitted me. The tapes are strong and my indoor test had me remaining dry day and night.A liter of water weighs 1kg so these can get very heavy. Some suitably tight-ish plastic cover pants helped keep them in place while upright. My indoor test had me pushing them to their limit, to be honest.Obviously they get a little bulky when they've absorbed a lot of water, but if they didn't they wouldn't be working. Will certainly buy again.

Tapes
Comfortable to wear absorbency very good but the only down side is the side fixing tapes are not very good had to change earlier than I expected as tapes kept on coming loose

Large by name, but too large by nature.
I've used Abena for a long time now. The absorbency is good, and there a few equals. However, the large size seems to be too large, with the tabs meeting and even overlaying. The medium in comparison is too small, and is far too tight. There needs to be some work done in addressing this size issue, so the medium fits better, and the large sized down a little to fit better. For the size issue I could have given less then 5* but I had to give it maximum score for the security the pad gives me. However, overall the Abena Premium is a good nappy (diaper, whatever you want to call it) and is highly absorbent, and I'll continue to use them to suit my needs.

Excellent product. Not cheap but much better than the standard issue
We got these for my father-in-law as teh standard issue (Tena) resulted in the bed being wet every morning and everything needing a wash. These Abena pads were brilliant and we have not had any leakage or wet beds. Have since been issued with the tena slips which are a bit better than the pads and don't leak but the smell is neutralised much better with these Abena pads. i.e no noticable smell , whereas with the tena a there is a strong stink in the morning. So although these are quite expensive, if you can afford it then go for these every time. ( I have wondered whether we could get away with the M1 or M2 which are a bit cheaper and strill claim to absorb much more than the Tena.)

I'm long waisted & these fit perfectly albeit over padded for my UK 12-14-16 size.
These were far too big & long. I'm not well padded in build, just tall, long waisted 5’7” tall 32-34” waist. Pull down like pants if careful, stuck with one tab on one side two on the other,as lay on one side & wear trousers or pj’s. Would feel conspicuous if had to be seen standing in public as these are so big & very bulky. I do have sensitive & didn’t react to these. ‘Delta form’ are totally different & caused a skin rash, good value for those less sensitive.Purchased pack of Large2& 3,which were fine. Size L2 for semi-incontinant at night .This size will not absorb a lot of liquid though. The tabs do not take repositioning once stuck.Need to wear something else to keep these from slipping to1/2 mast if you can stand or walk. They are comfortable.

Not very secure
These would be a decent nappy offering good protection and absorbency, we're it not for the fact that they are badly let down by weak tabs that often break allowing the nappy to partly open or become slack. Not every nappy has done this, but enough to say we wouldn't rely on these again.

Highly recommend
Very comfortable and absorbant. Can wear for 8-10 hours without leakage as long as it is put on properly (leak guards up, tapes fastened close). Superior to any store bought alternatives. Suitable for day and night time use. Copes with multiple wetting even when wearer sleeps (and wets) on her side rather than her front. Not very discreet due to size. They swell and become quite heavy. Tight fitting over-pants or 'teddy style vest' help with this. A great product and has given us some freedom back.
