I bought two of the same Camshaft Position Sensors from this seller for my 2013 BMW X3 F25 (N20 engine). They worked fine at first, but a month after installation, the sensor on the exhaust side began to micro-leak oil from inside the female connector (where it plugs into the male connector)—not from the o-ring seal. Since this is a spare car and I didn’t drive it much, I initially thought it wasn’t tightened enough. I re-tightened it and continued driving without much concern throughout the winter.Unfortunately, today, the check engine light came on, displaying the code: "B Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 1)", putting the car into limp mode. Upon removing the sensor, I found the connectors completely soaked in oil (again, not the o-ring seal).I’m very disappointed with the quality control and hope the seller or Amazon can offer a resolution, such as providing a replacement part. That would be greatly appreciated.

I tried a different brand and ordered two of them, because I only needed one, and they both failed. This brand worked.

I bought two of these sensors to put on my 2015 F10 535i less than a year ago. At first, they seem to be working fine, but then recently, I was getting a check engine light. There was a short to the intake cam sensor, which I thought was strange because the sensor was relatively new. I immediately ordered two new OEM Continental sensors from FCP Euro which were twice the cost but worth the piece of mind. When I went to change the intake cam sensor, to my astonishment, between the male and female connectors was full of oil, but no oil was leaking externally. The quality of this product is awful. There are some things you cannot cheap out on and sensors are definitely one of those items. This is a bad product and if anyone decides to put this on their vehicle, you may face the same issue as I and from what I am reading other people have experienced. If I could, I would give this zero stars

First of all, it came with the wrong size o-ring and wouldn't fully seat. I reused the old orange and reinstalled. Still no start. Bought one at the local parts store and still no start. At this point I'm not spending any more $ on another sensor as I'm thinking maybe this isn't the problem, but everything pointed to the crank sensor. I went to the local u-pull it junk yard and got one, installed it and the car's been running great ever since. Moral of this story is BMW'S need BMW parts to run.
