Good value but not amazing
Efficient and reliable, this magnetic stir hot plate is a decent option for lab work. Its strong magnet ensures rapid and consistent stirring. temperature control is the only problem I have. Itās a very simple dial but the trade off is itās hard to be precise unless you spend a good chunk of time playing with it and a thermometer. The sturdy construction is a plus. Overall, it's a decent product that does the job, but there are better options out there if you're looking for something exceptional.

A revolutionary hotplate experience.
This was incredible! I have never used such a fine and precise piece of professional equipement. The virtues of ANZESER Magnetic Stirrer Hot Plate, 100-2000rpm Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer cannot be understated. This magnetic stirrer/hotplate will bring about the second coming of Christ and a new age of scientific advancement. Worked well to heat up some stuff. Magnetic stirrer is pretty cool too. Can boil water. 10/10, would recommend.

Not very hot. Doesn't seem like it's truly 180w. Maybe 100w.
Well constructed, clean, no BS, cheap, sturdy little unit. And the magnetic stir feature is well tuned and works well, which is something I was worried about. My only complaint is the heat, it's not very powerful at all. So much so that I doubt it's hitting the claimed wattage output.I've had 300-200mL of tap water in a 500mL Erlenmeyer flask on this for about the last hour or two with very light stirring and full heat and I'm only barely getting to boiling. It's certainly not a powerful, rolling, foaming, kind of boil though. Outlet can run a 1500w space heater without problems, so it's gotta be this things heat element. So, it's maybe good for extremely small volumes, low power organic synth, or getting organic solvents boiling. I could see this being AWESOME for reactions that need a constant, low heat for ages. But it's not great for anything more power demanding. You're certainly not going to dehydrate sulfuric acid or distill mercury with this.I may return, then again, I may try and remove some length of the heater wire to up power. I could also set it aside for the above mentioned reasons, since it would be the perfect tool for that purpose.

Great product
This product was very easy to use. It did exactly what I needed. It had no issues and was user friendly. I would buy other products from this company again.

Gets the job done for the price
It gets hot sometimes and spins as needed. Doesn't have a stable heat level and if you mark the area you like for temp. It won't go back to the same temp. You need to adjust all the time when first turning it on. But I use a heat gun and get the temp how I like it and it stirs as needed. Just not great, just does the job and that's all I need to be honest.

Budget based performance
For the price, it is hard to argue a lot with what you get out of it. The temperature knob has a standard drawn on temperature meter that is basically irrelevant. But after a couple of uses you can learn the temperature relative to the knob placement. The magnetic stirrer works well. It has been a little workhorse up to this point, so it's definitely provided a return worth the cost.

Great little stir plate. Affordable and works well
This is a good product. Very affordable and reliable. I recommend it

Good product for a good price
Good stirring speed and keeps consistent temperature for the price.

Heat killed the magnets
Stir function works well, heat function works well. Unit is relatively robust for the price point. HOWEVER magnets do not like heat, and either the insulation is not good enough or the magnets are of low quality as the magnets lost ALL magnetic properties when I ran the heater too high - rendering the stir function unusable.

Five Stars
these are great!

Cheap, temp fluctuates but works great.
Iām using it to keep my nickel chloride reaction at 80-90c. I moderate with water and for secondary containment of condensation.I will use it for heating and stirring if a future nickel sulfate reaction. From reviews the QC seems like third-shift quality but mines working fine.Temperature control is very touchy. The stirrer drive magnets diameter is about 1.5ā/40mm so any bar larger will have weak stirring, for those interested.Would buy again for simple heating and stirring š

Lots of problems. Eg: Heat is either NONE or MAX - dial is pointless
Would not recommend! This unit seemed promising when I first received it. The finish is acceptable to poor (given the price) but I as not deterred. I plugged the unit in and gave it a test with the following immediate observations:1. heat only works when the dial is set to maximum (what's the point?!)2. stirring function is extremely poor but WAS able to reliably stir 200mL of water steadily (at a VERY low setting)To test the heating, I assembled a retort stand with thermometer and over the course of 2 days I slowly turned the heat dial clockwise to increase the hot-plate temperature. The first 90% of the rotation did absolutely NOTHING to turn on the heating element. In essence, with my unit you have an "all or nothing" heat setting. The heat plate itself is not ceramic coated which is no problem for heating non-corrosive liquids. I knew this going into the purchase. What I did NOT anticipate is how poor the heat transfer from the bare aluminum plate into a beaker or boiling flask would be. This unit struggles to dump its modest heat into a good quality beaker. The stirring portion of the apparatus is very poor. The rotor itself is VERY small diameter with fairly weak magnets. Two fixes are necessary here: 1. increase the rotor diameter to accommodate larger stir-bars and 2. improve quality of magnets for better coupling. This would be a very easy fix - I would even DIY this if I planned to keep this poor quality instrument. As others have already recommended, save your money and buy something else!
