Not the best out there
I used SpamFighter for a year, then I uninstalled it. It worked okay but the big disadvantage is that it doesn't have a Bayesian filter. Instead, it relies on a list provided by users that it updates constantly. You'd think that that would be the best solution. Nope, I found that in spite of putting some spammers in the blacklist, I kept receiving the same spams from them. I was only getting about 80% of the spam filtered out. That sounds like a lot, but it's still 20 or 30 spams I have to scan and then manually delete. On the plus side, it is very easy to set up and use, it's just that I have no patience for spam.

spamfighter
This is the most useless piece of junk - my spam jumped 60+ percent since I downloaded it. I would not recommend it to anyone and would want a refund if it were offered

Works flawlessly with Outlook 2013!!! Great Product.
Spamfighter was easy to install and set up. It integrated with no issues and works great. Finally all my spam problems are solved. For years I had used Norton Internet Security and its antispam function, but recently it had started causing Outlook to fail. Then I tried Kaspersky Pure 3.0 and its antispam module did not work. I followed all it instructions and contacted their help desk all to no avail. It never actually identified mail when it was installed in Outlook 2013 even after I marked a previous instance of the same mail as spam using the Kaspersky toolbar.Well Spamfighter has totally solved my problems. The integration is perfect. It added all my contacts to my whitelist automatically. The Spamfighter toolbar showed up in Outlook 2013 right away and works perfectly. One interesting point is that when you blacklist an email it does not move the email to the spam folder. An easy work around is to block all spam emails and then go to the spam folder and highlight all of the blocked emails and then use the blacklist tool. They all get added to the blacklist at one time.Bottom line, the product woks like a charm with Outlook 2013. If you have a spam issue and use Outlook 2013 then this is the product for you.

Disappointing Product
I was disappointed with every aspect of this product. It sounded so promising but made things worse. It caught valid emails and missed so many spam messages. Even ones that I black listed it would never catch. It moved valid emails to other folders too curiously enough. They do like to market to you, send you pop up messages, emails, and put ad banners in Outlook. This was so bad.

Ineffective, and insidious
Failure in performance, even at the Pro level. When PRO renewal was to occur, NON-RESPONSE to any inquiry as to performance. At renewal time they then start to embed their messaging in outgoing emails, touting their dismal success.. Whu--uuu--at?Company is based in Denmark and customer service hours are counter to U.S. Responsiveness to e-communication is zero.Overall rating: ZERO

EXCELLENT spam filter for Outlook! Saved me!!
This has saved me from going off the deep end. I have four email addresses that are all delivered to Outlook. Three of those addresses I've had for about 8-10+ years. So I am getting hundreds of spam emails per day. It was taking far too much time to sift them out, and as the spammers change their email address constantly, the Outlook junk filter was almost useless. I researched and found Spamfighter and gave it a shot. From the instant it was installed and active it has been filtering out probably 95-99% of the junk and spam. I couldn't be happier. I read another review that said it's useless software and I could not disagree more. This has saved me so much aggravation and time. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Warning. It doesn't really work and could corrupt your system.
I tried the trial version and then as it seemed to work reasonably well, I bought the first year's subscription for $30. It was only when I was able to test it with lots of accounts and lots of emails did I realize that it doesn't perform well, compared with the built-in spam filters in Outlook 2013, say.I had a very frustrating email exchange with Mihal Roman from Spamfighter. Besides being extremely arrogant and unhelpful, he basically said it was my fault for expecting too much from the software (and then he refused to provide a refund). I had emailed tech support about a range of bugs and flaws. I complained about spam emails that weren't being blocked, despite my marking them as spam and adding their addresses and domains to the black list. He told me that they have no intention of fixing these, saying that this is how the software is intended to work and there's no need to improve it or release any bug-fixes in the future. It's good enough, he claimed. I also expressed concern about the software using the windows registry as a database to manage the black and white lists. He said it's perfectly OK for the Spamfighter software to use the registry to for this. That can't be right, surely? It means that every time I receive email (and I get around 500 emails a day), Spamfighter is writing to the registry. And so far there are about 20,000 entries for all the black-listed emails that I've already imported. Even it there's no risk of corrupting the registry (by writing to it constantly), I would have thought that the registry would become unnecessarily bloated after a few months of using Spamfighter.I was also worried of the risk of corrupting the registry (particularly if there are outstanding bugs and security holes in the software that aren't being maintained) - and that this could make my system vulnerable to crashing.I uninstalled it (which itself is quite a palaver: I had to use IObit Uninstaller to clear out all the registry entries). Now I'm using Spamreader, which is okay, but has a lot of false positives and is sometimes awkward to maintain. It's better than nothing; and I'm still looking for a reliable anti-spam solution...
