These are great.

Worked EXACTLY as-advertised. Able to extract a completely stripped and over-torqued 8mm recessed plug using these bits and an impact driver.

I'm never going back to regular hex bits. These things are so great. I use them on all hex head fasteners, not just troublesome ones, because I don't want to risk rounding out the fastener by a regular tool and then HAVING to use the GripEdge to get it out. These things seem to preserve the hex in the fastener, too, instead of the bolts increasingly rounding out over time, which is a big relief. Whoever designed these things deserves a medal.

After rounding off two bolts on my Moto Guzzi trying to remove them, and needing screw extractors to get them out, I can looking for a better tool. I hesitated because of the apparently high cost, but they work so well that I know I will never have a stuck bolt again. It’s a small price to pay to avoid damaging an expensive machine. I’d say it’s a vital part of a toolbox if you have Allen key bolts on your vehicle.

I was very skeptical and for the first 10 minutes had no luck getting a stripped recessed oil drain plug from a riding lawn mower. I drilled a little bigger hole a little deeper and used the 10mm and color me silly it came out! Now I can not get the bit out of the stripped oil drain plug, even when I have it in a vice on my work bench, but I am happy because the oil change is complete with a very convenient hose attached instead of the recessed oil drain plug.

So I actually have yet to use any of these on any stripped or rounded hex heads, however, I am very confident after seeing them in person that they’ll be exactly what I need. Being an auto technician working in a transmission and drivetrain shop means I come across a lot of rounded out, stripped out and beat up hex/Allen heads, and I think this is the beginning of a very long relationship between me and Grip Edge.The packaging is very good quality, you get a nice little package of stickers included, which is always fun, the rail that the sockets sit on is nice high-quality, the high visibility marking on the sockets seems to be high-quality as well as the numbering. Will be sure to follow up after a few few uses to leave a more in-depth review, but as of right now, five stars all the way.UpdateHave used these on multiple stripped out hex bolts found on transmissions as well as driveshafts with no issue whatsoever, bites immediately and delivers great torque with just a ratchet. Love them so far!

I ordered this set of hex bits for some hardware that was very stuck and had a high risk of stripping out. This bit set engaged into the hardware perfectly and removed all of the bolts with absolutely no slipping or damage to the bolts. Built well and would definitely recommend and buy again for SAE or smaller hex sets in addition to the 4-10mm set that I purchased.

Expensive but when you need them, you NEED them!
