I am a big fan of Kengdudee who sold me this fine Thai mortar and pestle. I had a traditional clay mortar with a wooden pestle which I bought in a local Thai grocery store. It cost less that $12 but the bottom surface was quite rough and it required something like a cork coaster to be placed under it. This all plastic unit is very counter-top friendly and extremely easy to clean. The item shipped very quickly from Thailand and although it is not the second-day Prime delivery many of us are used to the wait is certainly worth it.
