Fully loaded strat scratch plate cheap pots!
They say you get what you pay for and in this case you definitely do.Cheap ceramic pickups and micro pots the selecter switch is OK. It's tidy wiring wise but having said that this is the best bits.

Pleasant!
Pretty good for this price.Dad had an old, black strat - very cheap brand but playable, just old and ugly so I fixed it up. This was the last piece to be added and I wasn't expecting much, really. I've bought various parts for this guitar, some good quality and value some not so, this is by far the best value I've had buying parts for it.Firstly it just looks really nice, pots aren't anything to scream about but they feel nice enough and have some resistance, smooth. Pickups themselves again, nothing to scream from the rooftops about but they still sound pretty damn good.As for fitting the plate, out of all of the screw holes there were only 2 that did not line up and had to be re-drilled, this is likely due to the fact that the guitar I was fitting it to was not well routed, but it fit amazingly well. I did need to sand a small part down to allow the neck to seat properly in the pocket, shaved off about 1mm and it was super snug.Wiring was easy enough although no schematics are supplied, you can find wiring diagrams online no problem. You don't get a matching backplate but most people chuck them out, anyway. One question asked was does it come with screws, and one of the answers was no - mine came with the screws, tiny little plastic bag with more screws than I needed (6 more to be exact). All in all this is really nice, it looks great - I reckon this on a white or cream coloured strat with gold hardware would make for a really stylish, vintage looking and great sounding guitar.Funf starren!!!

Excellent
How is this possible for the money? Replacing mouldy, rusty gear in a neglected Squier Strat. Works perfectly. Just 2 wires to solder and bingo.

Rubbish pickups
Having recently acquired a LP style guitar I decided to put my Strat to SSS standard by replacing the SSD squire scratchplate. Read the reviews saying this outperformed the squire pickups so gave it a shot ... What a load of nonsense them reviews were! The plate and hardware are clearly budget but usable. The pickups are total garbage ... Way inferior to the Squire set they replaced and to the Aria Pro 2 set that came before that. Tried various heights and slopes but nothing made them sound good. I guess the neck and middle were usable with a lot of help from my amp EQ but the bridge pickup was bad whatever I tried. On my Microcube (only 1 tone control) it was impossible to get a decent sound. Iron Gear pickups arriving tomorrow and I can't wait to get them in so I can use my guitar again. I bought a new Musicily trem the same time and they works fine but the rubbish pickups make this unusable.

Good for the price.
I wanted to upgrade an old squier strat and this was a great choice for getting the basics in a single cheap package. I’ve changed the pickups for Wilkinson’s so can’t say what the originals are like, but the wiring and components are all perfectly fine and operate well. The hole alignment is slightly different but easily worked around with a bit of filler and a fine drill bit to create a guide hole. I’ve wired other guitars from a kit of bits and, although their quality was better, it was more fiddly and a lot more expensive to buy the piece parts. For the price I’m pleased with this purchase.

Fantastic Upgrade!
Amazing value for money.Screws lined up with existing holes. Has absolutely transformed the sound of my sons Squier Bullet strat.Well packaged and simple to install. Highly recommended and worthwhile upgrade. Excellent price even when you factor in £20 for a little basic soldering iron kit. So far I've added Graph tech nut and string trees which have helped a lot with the tone and sustain. These pick ups have transformed the sound and were an excellent buy. Very happy. Thank you.

Easy to fit, sounds really good
Really nice, simple way of getting all new electrics on an old beat-up guitar. It sounds great, that real authentic strat sound, and it was very easy to fit - just 3 wires to solder, and they're the easy ones!
