Not great
Anyone want to let me know what sharpener this one even needs? because none of mine fit and it broke 1/3 of the pencil already. The price for one of these pencils is ridiculous.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!!
These pencils are fantastic! They have beautiful color. What impressed me the most was something you don't seer often, even from "art supply" retailers..... Each pencil was individually wrapped in a small bubble wrap "sleeve". Artists know that all it takes it one good drop during shipping, to ruin an entire box of pencils. The wood remains intact but the delicate pastel within breaks into shards making working with them next to impossible. So, kudos! to this company for seeing the value in excellent packaging of an excellent product!. Definitely recommend!

Rough and difficult to use
This is not necessarily a bad pencil, in the contrary the colour is a very deep red and the chalk-like texture might be of use for specific art styles. My review comes from the point of view of an artist working with coloured pencils on paper and this is not a good pencil for producing polished drawings. The lead is quite dry, leaving crumbles and white spots behind, even on smooth paper and of course it is impossible to erase. It is also very prone to smudging, which can be a good or a bad thing, depending on your needs.

The ideal sketching pencil
I bought this, along with a white and black pencil, to try my hand at aux trois crayon style sketching, and this particular pencil is fantastic. The colour is vivid, easily blended, responds well to varying pressure in application and feels good on the paper. It's also a slightly chunkier, round barrel which makes it, for me, quite comfortable to hold. This is also a good accompaniment to the conte crayon sticks which, although useful for finer detail, can provide sweeping, broad layers on which to apply this pencil

Very chalky, darker red than advertised
No complaints about price or shipping time. I think I just got mixed up with what brand I was buying, expected these to be a more waxy material but they’re pretty chalky and not smooth to draw with. Also they’re a much darker shade than expected, I know colour appears differently in photos online so that’s fine but the shade is definitely a bit too far removed from what is shown.I will still use them though, just not for the intended purpose.

Rough, hard, very chalky
I was hoping this would be a smooth pencil to sketch with but turns out it’s very hard and dry, so much that it makes loud scratching noises when you use it. It smudges easily too! Some people might like this but if you’re looking for a pencil that glides easily this isn’t a good option.
