Sturdy and well engineered
A solid metal clamp with some sturdy plastic for the top hinge.This is a well designed product, the metal clamp comes with a heavy duty plastic cover with the screw end free to rotate to help reduce damage to the product you are clamping to.at the join between the metal plastic (the two large plastic bolts either side of the metal frame) the is a hidden screw that reduces rotation of the plastic part, as the back of the plastic bolt has a dozen or so pockets from spiral bracing struts inside it.Although plastic, the hinge and the ball and socket joint feel well made and when tightening, both joints become firm before you think you are going to strip a thread or crack the plastic.

good bit of kit
not as universal as you may think i had to dismantle it to get it to fit on my bike but to be fair i can't really blame the product it certainly is multi adjustable and of good quality its just unfortunate that the bit i found useful is a bit i also had on a much cheaper bracketdon't be put off it is a good bracket it just won't fit on a triumph trophy

The ball head clamp was low quality for the price ...
The ball head clamp was low quality for the price. The thread broke within two days after being tightened and untightened only a couple of times. The thread had completely snapped inside.Other than that, the rest of the clamp seems decent so far but I wouldn't be too sure now the ball head clamp didn't last me two days.

Already had one of these so ordered second. Works fine, does what you expect it to do.

A good piece of kit
This is a nicely made clamp which I bought in order to fasten my camera to the handlebars of my bike. It does that wonderfully well, It is easy to use with a wide range of movements. It is nicely finished in black with a good cushion on the clamp so as to avoid damage to surfaces on which it is clamped. Highly recommend and, best of all, it's actually made in the USA!
