The wait is over. The follow up album to the multi-million selling, award winning Justified will be released September 11th. Future Sex/Love Sounds is the new album from Justin Timberlake. In the UK alone Justin has sold 1.8 million albums, over 1 million tickets to gigs, been involved in 3 major movies and has his own Fashion Label William Rast which will be launching in the UK this autumn. He is truly a global superstar that no other can compete with. Future Sex/Love Sounds features the hit single, "SexyBack", mid-tempo second single "My Love" and co-production from Timbaland, Will.I.Am and Rick Rubin. Think early Prince mixed with Michael Jackson, think breaking boundaries in his sound. One spin of FutureSex/LoveSounds and it's hard to believe that Justin Timberlake was ever a boy-band barnstormer--no modern-day male artist beats him when it comes to single-minded self assurance or suavity. "SexyBack," the inescapable summer sizzler of a first single off this short and thrillingly unwholesome disc, makes that clear on its own: If there was ever any question about whether sexy was in need of reviving--a doubtful proposition at best, given the sheer volume of JT's gyrating counterparts--he lays it to rest instantly over a small but insistent Timbaland-concocted beat. On that track, Timberlake's appeal is his sweet but newly thuggish-sounding voice--here's a good kid gone bad, and he's determined to convince us of it not only by tossing a few well-timed mother****ers our way but also with such lyrics as "I'll let you whip me if I misbehave." The rest of FutureSex will feel familiar to anyone who picked up 2002's brilliantly funk-flecked Justified : "Love Stoned/I Think She Knows Me," shifts from Michael Jackson-esque paranoid trilling to pulsating guitar rock; "Chop Me Up," a collaboration with Three 6 Mafia and Timbaland, gives up the grit rap-style but still manages to recall both Prince and Stevie Wonder; "My Love," with T.I., mines classic Timberlake territory with meltaway lyrics like "I can see us holding hands walking on the beach/Our clothes in the sand"; and the straight-up but groovy lament "Losing My Way" asks, searchingly, what may be the silliest question a squeal-inducing pop star has ever posed: "Can anybody out there feel me?" Rest assured, JT: we feel every past-, present-, and future-sexy verse. --Tammy La Gorce Review: Arguably JT's best album - JT's second, sophomore studio album. The JT x Timbo connection really proved to be a strong force throughout the entirety of this album with sprinkles of Danja [Hands] and will.i.am [of the Black-eyed Peas]. JT displays a more adult perspective on fling and love situations. Must-listens: "Lovestoned/I Think She Knows" – one of the best beat switches of all-time; from a dancefloor-filler to a melancholic eargasm. "What Goes Around... Comes Around" – a great climatic record, telling the tale of a man once broken who learns of his old flame being on the end of karmic treatment from her new flame. "Losing My Way" – the story of a depressed man, seeking help; the choir really is the icing on the cake at the tail of this track. "Summer Love" – the kind of song that makes you want to have the time of your life with that special person, sharing many cherished, memorable, monumental moments together. "Until the End of Time" – tear-jerker, so beware. Review: FUNKY! - Brilliant from start to finish. A review for each song :- 1. Futuresex\Lovesound: To think I hated this one at first! A real grower and an overall excellent start. 2. Sexy Back: This one doesn't need a review! You all know it. 3. Sexy Ladies: Woah! Great song and so up beat. One of my favourites. 4. My Love: Y'all know this one. 5. Lovestoned: Y'all know this one. 6. What Goes Around: Y'all know this one. 7. Chop Me Up: Good song. Timbaland ruins it by stamping over the 2nd verse. But worth a listen just for the JT bit. 8. Damn Girl: More funky stuff yet also pretty. Love it! 9. Summer Love: Really nice tune to it, really uplifting. 10. Until The End Of Time: My favourite. Perfectly pretty. 11. Losing My Way: Another favourite, really good job of talking about hard times. 12. Another Song: Beautiful melody. Love it. 13. Pose: Nice to end on an amazing dance note.

Great in places, patchy in others.
Firstly, let's get the record straight: yes this album does take a few listens. Secondly , it is too uneven to count as a work of genius. Thirdly it does NOT top 'Justified'. However, there are some great tracks. 'Sexyback' is obvious, but 'My love' and 'What goes around around' are better. 'Futuresex/lovesound' is a good Prince song, whilst 'Stoned Love' is great MIchael Jackson, circa 'Off the wall', with a surprising, sweepingly dramatic interlude which serves as a nice bridge for the aforementioned 'What goes around'. 'Losing my way' is musically stirring and sung with real pathos, but is a strange/misjudged(?) topic - a coke addict! One wonders if 'Stranger in Moscow' would have served as a better title. However, in places there is too much funk/ beat driven tracks, as in the Timbaland produced Furtado album, which leaves you waiting for the next track that sounds more like the melodic Timberlake/Furtado fare that fans really want to hear. When Timberlake does a whole album as good as its best parts - it will be unstoppable. For the meantime, this is worthy of keeping fans keen.

Vinyl Pressing lets this release down
I love this album, had it on CD for years but the vinyl pressing does have some surface noise and some pops. Not too bad, but could be better & I am disappointed. The 3 stars is a review on the pressing not the actual content which is wonderful, I think this is JTs best album.

JT uno dei migliori!! Vinile storico!
STORICO
