WDC ONLINEeXtreme® Carpet Shims - Solves The Difference in Flooring Heights In Doorways - 15mm Height

I bought one of theses carpet shims because the tiler made such a step between the hallway and the lounge it looked terrible. It’s made the level a lot better but would probably need a thicker one with a longer slope. 20mm height by maybe 300mm. But nevertheless I have ordered another one and will need another 2 possibly. It’s just a bit pricey to buy all at once.

The product itself is fine however it was delivered in a plastic bag so was pretty beaten up when it got to me - I decided to keep it as didn't have time to have it replaced but would have been well within my rights to return it for refund given its condition. It's basically a bit of MDF, but it's about 1mm thick at one end so needs some decent protection while its being thrown around by delivery drivers.

Just the job to create a smooth level change from newly tiled en-suite into the bedroom - because of the way the new flooring had been layed, I had to use the offcuts from the length of main shim to raise the shim an additional 15mm (30mm in all), however, the result is a perfectly smooth join between the 2 rooms !

Did the job perfectly.
