Probably; my 11 year old says they were too big for her. and yes, they come packaged separately.

Q: Can I buy replacement charms? My friend gifted me with one of the bracelets & the charms fell off really easily

The company would be able to let you know about the replacement charms. They do slide around so make your when you slide it on that the bangle glides together. Some charms are on tiny rings that attach to the bracelet and I always keep an eye out to make sure they are securely closed.
