Overall Great GI top for the price
I needed a blue A2 GI top and this was a great price. I have now worn and washed it, and air dried it and I can say that there was little to no shrinkage. It was very comfortable to roll in the only negative I can point out is that it didnt breathe very well. That really isnt a huge deal to me as if you're doing BJJ right, you're gonna start sweating eventually anyway. For anyone looking for sizing, I am 6ft 187 pounds. The cuffs hit right at my wrist so i'd say if you're much taller and/or heavier maybe go up a size or you might not make the sizing restrictions that some tournaments have.Overall great GI, will update in a couple of months once I have broken it in and will comment on durability/comfort.

Nice quality
I've noticed other reviewers mentioning these may run small but that wasn't my experience. I sit firmly in the A2 size according to their chart and measurements, and it fits me perfectly. This thing feels overbuilt in the best way possible. Immediately out of the package, it feels very stiff but throwing it in the wash just one time helped a lot. The wash softens it up but it still feels very durable with what seems like quality material and construction, and ample stitching. This isn't my first product from Sanabul, and this one meets expectations based on past experience.Overall, I am very happy with it. I'll get plenty of good use from it and if anything happens which would change my opinion, I will be back to update my review.

Material is nice, relatively lightweight feeling. Sizing is weird.
I followed the size guide and it put me in an A2, but my arms felt suffocated but also swallowed by the sleeve length. The shoulders were a bit tight, and the length was somewhat short. I also could not close the kimono enough. I felt like I was in an A1 with A3 length sleeves. Build quality is good, but sizing is weird. I feel I may have received a defective return based on the packaging and the faint scent of detergent, but there is nothing on the kimono that I can see that would verify that. I will be trying an A3 next to see if that is a better fit. For what it’s worth the pants were the right size for me per the size guide, and I have some pretty meaty legs.

Good-quality affordable Gi jacket
I am not a BJJ athlete, but I got this jacket for a Brazilian-trained BJJ black belt professional who, together with a black-belt Taekwondo athlete, gave me their input so I could write this review. This is a well-made jacket. The material is durable but feels soft enough and comfortable to wear. The material also feels surprisingly light compared to other brands, but the weaving of the fabric seems strong enough to withstand the grabbing and pulling. The collar is thick and stiff and has 6 rows of stitches for reinforcement. Actually, all the seams and hems on this jacket look reinforced. For example, the side slits on the bottom of the jacket have an extra patch of material sewn in for additional reinforcement. Please note that this review is only for the jacket. Overall, this is a good-quality affordable jacket.

The size of the Gi is just wrong
I've been using Sanabul Gis for some time now, I've purchased several Sanabul Core Competition and Sanabul Essential Gis. I always wear their A1 and it is always the same size, no surprises, constant. This Gi Jacket has nothing to do with their other Gis, the size is completely different. It is *Huge*, it's not a little bigger, it's like it's from another brand or something, it is nothing like their other A1 Gis.Before ordering I compared and verified that the size charts are the same for this Jacket and the other Sanabul Gis I wear, it was very misleading.

Amazing value for the price
I'll keep it short. This fit me true to my size, the fit is as I'd want, and it is cheap. It is about (if not more) as durable as my judo single weave gis. Not as thick, but just as sturdy if that makes sense. I'm not worried about it falling apart any time soon.My favorite part is it isn't flashy like most BJJ gis on the market. A few patches are fine, especially if it is a team thing, but this is probably one of the few good cheaper options for plain jane gis out there I'd say.Overall, I'm happy with this and recommend it.

Very durable
I've never owned a Gi before, but thought I'd try one out. First off, I found out after ordering that most Gi are White -- undyed cotton. I happened to order the dark one. Since this has thick, very durable fabric, that means the dark jacket needs a lot of dye. Out of the bag, I could smell it. So, I should have gotten the White one.The dark jacket looks great, but is almost ridiculously durable. Lots and lots of extra stitching. That makes the jacket a bit stiff, but I'll try a few washes to see if that helps.Since Gi are supposed to fit well and be ultra durable, I'll give this a recommendation.Update: Dye scent gone after one washing, and more comfortable. Also, I decided to look more closely at the seams... each is stitched six dimes.

Affordable and decent quality
I've been using a previous judo gi for my bjj class and didn't know what to expect when I got this gi, but was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality. The material is a good weight and overall stitching is nice. Like other reviews have stated – it's a little stiff coming out of the package, but that's too be expected and will soften with washings.I've worn the gi to class a few times already and it hold ups well when grappling and does the job. Also, I like that it doesn't have a lot of large logos embroidered all over the jacket. I prefer a minimalist look so I don't look like a Nascar driver or a walking advertisement. My only complaint is that their jacket sizing tends to run on the smaller size. I'm 5'9" & 165 lbs. I should've ordered the A1 jacket based on their size guide. I usually wear an A2, so I ordered the A2 size and it fits me just right. Definitely order 1 size up.
